5 out of 5 eggsLittle toy that rocks

Pros: These are the perfect cheap mp3 players. I've been buying these SanDisks for years, and always grab a 2gb or 4gb when they go on shellshocker for under $20. They are ultra portable, easy to load up and program, and provide great sound as well as FM radio and voice recording options. I use my phone as my primary music player, but when I'm in a poor service area or someplace I don't want my expensive phone out (equal parts bad neighborhoods and ski slopes), this is a perfect backup option. The expandable SD slot means it can be bumped up to a 32gb player easily. I keep one in my car and another in my briefcase, loaded up with a couple dozen of my favorite albums just in the event that I need music in a jam.

Cons: So small it's easy to lose. Mini USB charger (as opposed to micro) means you can't use your android charger on it, but your GPS or bluetooth headset charger should work.

Other Thoughts: It's a barebones music machine, which can be convenient at times. They make great backups and gifts and are useful for any situation where you need a potentially disposable music player.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on day 100

Pros: Great sound when it was working
NO stupid itune needed
light, easy of use
clip is useful

Cons: quality control

Other Thoughts: I have bought more than 10 Sandisk refurbished products before, and this is the only one gave me the problem. I had one of these Clip+ 4 years ago. that one served me well for 3 years until one day I dropped it and damaged the volume control. Loving this tiny player so much that I bought another one. Unfortunately, it suddenly died on day 100 while I was sitting and listening to music. Connecting with USB did not help, and it just passed the 90 days warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent =D

Pros: Small (Tiny)
Sounds great
Can use Rockbox software.
Got it cheap refurbished & it arrived in flawless condition.

Cons: Nothing worth mentioning. Tiny. Is that a Con?

Other Thoughts: This is my lawn-mowing music player. With IEM style headphones it can easily be heard over the mower & trimmer.
I get over 10 hours of playtime at nearly full volume. Full volume is too much. ;) It's been dropped, headphones yanked out many times, soaked with sweat & keeps going strong.
If you break the clip, you're an Oaf. :P

2 out of 5 eggsBroken after 2 months

Pros: Small

Cons: Cheap
Lags at times when selecting music
Broken after 2 months

Other Thoughts: Only used it ~20 times and had to charge it ~4 times. After that it refuses to charge. Can't return it after 30 days. Very disappointed.

1 out of 5 eggsSansa Clip mp3

Pros: Cheap price

Cons: Died after a month. Not really upset; because I purchased this player for use at work and expected it get broken in process. So dying while charging was a bit of a let down but not end of world.

Other Thoughts: Sansdisk has this great reputation among my friends but every product I have ever gotten from them breaks quickly or fails utterly to perform as advertised. This was a refurbished unit so as I said above not really upset, just observing a trend with Sansdisk products. To replace this mp3 player I think I will shift my purchase to another manufacturer

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small, light, convenient clip-on. Good MP3 play quality.

Cons: Poor FM radio reception. Not nearly as good as previous Sansa players I have owned.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunate that the FM performance is not up to my expectations, that's one feature I use frequently.

5 out of 5 eggsas good as new

Pros: I bought a lot of these units new in different colors and could not pass this up for price it looks and acts like a new one would only difference between them is this has a shorter warrantysome of ours are out of warranty and still going strong others still under warranty and going stron very happy with these units THEY WORK and sound GREAT if you have good headphones instead of the earbuds that it comes with. I put my music on a 32GB MicroSD card in 256bit MP3 format and have no problems with it playing them I was givin a set of Beats by Dr Dre and use them with it and enjoy my music more or less 24/7 I even sleep with them on to block out the other noises that tend to wake me up average run time with my current headphones is about 9 hours give or take an hour I rotate 2 of them while using one the other is charging always ready to go when the one using dies

Cons: none that I can honestly think of except that they allow people to review things that don't read the manual and then get upset when they can fix the problem themselves by restting the unit

Other Thoughts: IF your unit stops working IE freezes won't power up won't charge won't play or any other thing that can happen then before thinking it is piece of junk try resetting it as it tells you in owners manual and in troubleshooting guide. In order to reset hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds then try to power up like normal, I have yet to have one refuse to power up except one that the power button broke on out of over 12 units one failure I can live with that they make great gifts just remember to tell them how to reset the unit or you may make an enemy
