Pros: NOISE CANCELLING - I never thought I would use this feature, but it is outstanding. You can listen anywhere and it will save your ears.
SOUND QUALITY - Is amazing. Many different ways to customize the sound. 5 band EQ is great.
TOUCH SCREEN - very responsive and fast. Couldn't be better.
EAR BUDS - The included earbuds actually sound great and are comfortable.
Lastly, it's really easy to sync up songs. I don't use the included software. I use Windows Media Player and have no problems. You can also drag & drop (or copy & paste) files in the My Computer window.

Cons: WIFI - I've never been able to connect anywhere. I have a wifi network at home and at the school campus. Can't get it to work.
SLACKER - You have to have wifi connection in order to update new songs. There are already songs pre-loaded on the unit, but seems like a waste of space. The songs suck.
There are only 14.2 gigs of usable space on the 16 gig player. That really sucks.

Other Thoughts: The unit is physically really solid and well laid out. It feels solid as a rock (and it actually feels like a rock).
It plays videos pretty well. I have synced up some .mp4 movies that were designed for ipods (resolution-wise) and it looks pretty good on this screen. You have the option of stretching the picture to fill up the whole screen, but this cuts off the higher and lower parts of the movie.

Pros: -Great sounding
-Noise cancelling
-Drag n drop
-Slick interface
-Wife loves it!!

Cons: Video format required some experimentation as the included software was virtually useless

Other Thoughts: No I didn't buy it here, but I hope to offer some help with video. I've already gone through this with Sony's PSP when it was first released. To convert any video to the new Series X player I use PSPvideo9(free!). Here are the settings that I've used that have worked for me:
-onced installed and running (select whatever the latest firmware option it offers - once only) Click the 'convert' tab across the top then the 'Video file' tab just below it.
-Select power mode
-at the new window you can select which video file you want to convert as well as what you want to name the newly converted outputed file
-under these two lines there is a drop down menu for device. I HAVE ALWAYS LEFT IT ON PSP.
-the next drop down menu is for "Profile". This is the most important one.
--select MPEG-4 320x240 768kbps Stereo/128kbps 2-pass
-Then hit the Start conversion button

I always go with 2 passes for this device as it gives me a crisper image.

Pros: 1. Wonderful sound quality
2. High class outside finish
3. Noise canceling

Cons: Wired Video resolution, cannot find any video converting software to get perfect video under ideal resolution

Other Thoughts: seems like i m the first one to give feedback on newegg for x1050. if the budget is enough and you are looking for a great mp3 which can bring you the perfect sound, this will be the one you are looking for.
