Nice Player but could be better
- Pros: Design, display, functions, touch screen, battery life, ability to play songs in folders.
- Cons: File transfer is really slow = proximately 30 min for 370MB
Web Browsing = WOW why even put this in if it's so nonfunctional
Scrolling threw songs = nice in list view but when in album art and your mp3's dont have any art with them it looks like your scrolling threw nothing but black boxes.
FM radio only picks up stations with really good signal not even average signal ones are picked up while in quick search mode
- Other Thoughts: If you want a great sounding player with lots of functions get the Zen X-fi and save yourself $200 bucks and you get extra features as well.
If you want a great sounding player with touchscreen, long lasting battery, and nice scrolling features that just looks really slick and money is no option, then get this one.
great for music and video
- Pros: i wanted something that not everyone has, and i wanted great sound quality. that is exactly what i got. it has a quality feel to it, and i also like that i have 32gb to work with. after a little time messing with xillisoft, i found that its option to convert to blackberry mpeg-4 with the bit rates for audio and video set at 112 and 512 respectively worked brilliantly. i dont know a lot about video conversion honestly but i have had no problems with anything i converted as of yet. the noise cancelling, which can only be used with the stock headphones, actually works pretty well on airplanes with proper settings. other than that i havent felt the need to use it. the youtube app also seems to work well, although the wifi function was not a deciding factor in my purchase. i also like its size. it may have a smaller screen that the ipod or s9 but i think its a perfect size for carrying around, and it still has good picture quality.
- Cons: price. i just happen to really like most of the sony products that i have owned, and i was willing to spend a little extra for something other than what every person i know already has.
also its a good thing i didnt care about the wifi, because it is for lack of a better term, an epic fail. the you tube app worked pretty well for me, but the browser should have just been left out. the keyboard is slow and cumbersome, and the overall experiance just made me give up on it very quickly
- Other Thoughts: based on what i personaly wanted, the x series is right on. the price is still too high or i would have given it a 5. if you want a really good audio/video player, i highly recommend it. if you care at all about internet funcionality, get something else.
