Cons: Died less than 3 months - trying to get a replacement from the Manufacturer but not holding by breadth.

Pros: I'm just updating my original review. I found out that when using a different head set or ear buds, you must push the end into the audio jack so hard it seems you will break it but you won't. I must retract my complaint about the sound - it is actually great once you get the plug seated well into the unit. I am upgrading my original review to 4 stars.

Cons: Still the quality of the case where the strap should go. If you can get something through the sideways hole without breaking it you're doing better than I did. Also the poorly designed controls. I am constantly enabling the recorder when I want to play music. Leave off the hole for a strap - or make a better one and redesign the controls and it would be a 5 star machine.

Pros: Great battery life. So far have run it over 24 hours straight and still had charge on it.

Cons: Interactive buttons are confusion and not well thought out. The ear buds that came with the machine are horribly made - very hard plastic so they are extremely uncomfortable in the ear - yet they are the only ones so far that I have found give a clear sound. I bought some more comfortable ones with silicon but the static on them is awful. The only ear buds that give decent sound appear to be the ones that came with the unit if you want clarity with no background static. This was extremely disappointing. I am now using a headset that came with an old cd player because I cannot wear the ear buds that came with the unit. there is still some static but you don't hear it as badly since you aren't wearing ear buds in the ears for a concentrated sound.

Other Thoughts: The case is plastic like most units and the little hole for a strap is a joke stuck on a corner of the unit.. I tried to get something through it so there was something to hold on to and it broke through the plastic.

Overall I am giving this a 3 star only because of the outstanding battery life.
