3 out of 5 eggsit;s still early

Pros: very nice resolution for 720p easy transfer of albums and playlist battery life good for mp3 but when viewing videos about 3 hours.

Cons: wont play flac files must convert to mp3, little ear plugs DOA but have my good sony ear phones they sound nice...when converting everything to mp3 put audio gain to about 115% for louder music, just not enough volume....EQ best sound when left at normal. HDMI out movies dont play well on 60" flat screen, keeps blacking out, but plays fine on player.

4 out of 5 eggsread the specs and do your research

Pros: pro: it has a capability to extend its memory capacity to around 22-23gb of memory for your is light weight easy to handle and turned on the first time and everytime after that......I have a 16gb mini SD from my smart phone and I now have that in a SD memory card adapter in the player.....

Cons: like the titles says read up on the devices specs , then do your research...and be thurough about said it has the ability to hold up to a 16gb memory card.....not a 32gb....that being said...I filled up all 22gb in less that 40 minutes...took a while to put most of my music on it....the microphone imput ,

the mp3/mp4 player is cheap...for being labaled trio t4300 HD player....and for 70 bucks....makes me wonder what it was so cheap...

Other Thoughts: simple easy to get the hang of its handling and best of all I can download a movie from my phone and onto the micro SD card (16gb micro SD card) slap that into a micro SD card card adapter and put that in to trio player and wartch the movie on a slightly bigger screen xD

1 out of 5 eggsgood idea poor software

Pros: it powers on

Cons: i bought this at a local store along with a 32gb card to install in it... great im happy so i load it with music onto the 32gb sd card turn it on and then i goto update the media library...PROBLEM it wont find it.. i can manualy point the player to the sd card but the players software is not able to locate it.. i called tech support and he verified that the software only searches the internal 8 gigs...LAME

Other Thoughts: good product poor follow up

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Seems to be well made
Feels solid
Holds ~8GB
Sounds Good
Large screen for small device

Cons: Touchy screen
Calibrates every time I turn it on
No way to update software
Volume control hard to adjust on screen
Support gives generic answers

Other Thoughts: I like this as an mp3 player. It would be nice to put a winamp player on this device.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: 6 month update: The wife uses this player for everything but mostly for playing movies. No problems with the unit or the craftsmanship and this thing goes everywhere she does.

Cons: Still none.

Other Thoughts: I have been so impressed with this player that I just had to come back and do an update review. I never do updates!

Also for what is worth I myself still carry the Mach Speed Oasis everyday to work and it is 3 years old.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: looks cool

Cons: The unit wouldn’t sync properly with windows xp,
The on off slide switch broke in less than 3 hours probably due to the way it was shipped, It was in a paper envelope the plastic packaging was smashed. The scroll is a pain on this touch screen; also I couldn’t figure a way to save multiple play lists

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this item

3 out of 5 eggsNice unit, not so sure about Mach Speed

Pros: For the money this is a fairly nice unit. It plays music, videos, audio books, displays pictures, has a calendar, calculator, FM radio and more. It has a built in mic to record such things as voice memos. Can use with e books if they are in .txt format. Adding music from your computer is fairly simple. Micro SD slot makes the memory expandable, or you could use the cards as custom playlists for whatever reason. Includes a cable to hook up to a HDMI input.

Cons: Included manual is not very good, I emailed a question to tech support and have not received any response in five days. Apparently Mach Speed customer service does not exist. Touchscreen is very touchy, I got around this by using a round toothpick as a stylus. In order to save your settings you need to power the unit off by sliding the power switch away from the headphone jack and hold it there until the Trio logo appears. The manual calls this down. This is also how you power the unit on, I guess if you know which way they consider down it works well. Not real sure why they even have the option to slide the switch up which is off, (toward the jack), but doing this will cause the player to discard any changes you have made and to lose your spot in playback.

Other Thoughts: If Mach Speed had any customer service support, and the manual was a little better I would have certainly gave this player at least one more egg. I mainly bought this to play music in my vehicles, and to avoid the constant changing of CD's while I am working around the house, it does a very good job at that.

2 out of 5 eggsNice Lil Device But...

Pros: Nice screen specially for a 4.3", very crisp and very clear. As mentioned before, light weight too. Mini-HDMI output works great and looks great too up 720p but very short cable. Intenal speaker is amazingly clear and throws above average sound for such little thingy. Lithium battery holds up fora few hours or almost 3 hours depending on usage. Desktop is straight forward and to the point for your Videos, Music icon, eBook and Photo and Record icons.

Cons: Very fragile! Obviously needs a lot of TLC but what device doesnt need TLC (Tender Loving Care) now a days? Is basically your average MP3 player with a screen but able to watch videos too. No WiFi options of any kind. Touch screen is very sensitive and kind of hard to manage while making selection(s). MicroSD cards larger than 8gb's for it are super and relatively expensive. 8gb internal memory isn't much these days specially if video files are to be dealt with. Would have rather for have support for regular SDHC memory cards. Cant find what is the largest size in GB memory card this media player accepts. Manual very vague as well not very clear on many topics and not well packaged as mine came folded as if someone quickly jammed into the package just to rush and be able to get it out the door just in time for Xmas...

Other Thoughts: For all of the features and quality of the device, the 80+ bux I spent, I feel it was well worth it but then again its just a new toy for me that I could have done or could do without. But yes, I personally think this is a step in the right direction to creating that "one" device that will be your main source of entertainment, or at least on the road.
