Fantastic
- Pros: - Great sound quality. They put a lot more work into sound quality and control then you are gonna find in most MP3 players. Adjustable EQ is a nice feature.
- The OLED screen is amazing. Brightest screen I've ever seen. Just finished watching Pulp Fiction on it in AVI format and it made a great movie even better.
- Good support for music and video formats.
- Cons: - GUI has a learning curve, as its not the most intuitive thing to use. It gets better with time.
- The media software that comes with it sucks, but the only thing that you would need to use it for is video conversion.
- Other Thoughts: - Download the firmware update. I did this and it give you some extra features, like a widgets page, and the ability to turn the system off with the touchscreen.
Great Player
- Pros: Great MP3 player, easy to navigate, the screen is the best i have seen on an MP3 put in a couple high resolution videos in it and played it clearly and vividly without any lag. The sound is good I went from a 8 band EQ to a 5 band in this MP3 player but still sounds good. The battery life is quite good. Be sure to upgrade to the latest firmare.
When I got my Player in the mail it came with the v 2.09 Firmware and the option to put up custom wallpapers isn't there. Once you upgrade to the latest version you will be able to do so.
- Cons: The touchscreen is a little fickle sometimes it wont respond (but that is usually when your hands are too dry to send a charge). Then again.......touch screen technology itself is fickle.
The volume buttons aren't proprietary...if you are somewhere other than the music screen then you will not be able to control the volume (but instead move a cursor around).
- Other Thoughts: A good mp3 player the volume control is a bit annoying but still a good player.

S9 or ZuneHD, I made the right choice.
- Pros: as of 2.5 Drivers: Size, weight, glass screen, vivid colors, easy and fun UI. Support for a few formats not avail to other players, AMOLED is beautiful, lots of presets for EQ (made the S9's already stunning audio even more stunning).
AMOLED screen makes it all come together nicely. Cowon/jetaudio have made THE ipod killer.
- Cons: AMOLED is too vivid in colors (which some might feel a pro than con). I chose con for it as it makes some scenes unusual when bland is needed (but again, a lot of people may find this as a pro). Videos stop playing when exiting the player (not a biggy).
Music system uses tags instead of just read folders and root folders. Use an mp3tagger program to quickly tag your songs!
There is no 64Gb or 128Gb version, i bought a 8Gb and regret the decision, you'll want the larger S9's!
- Other Thoughts: I don't understand why poeple are complaining about the UI. I got around the UI and got used to it in about 5-10 minutes. If you plan on using these players for video, I have found the 1Mbps encoding (use Cowon Media Program) setting to be the best overall. I have Avatar, 300, What Dreams May Come, Revenge of the Fallen, and Wall-E on my S9 and the only thing stopping me from putting on more movies is due to my purchase of an 8Gb ve
People buying ipods show they have no idea what they are buying and are just following the herd. The S9 IMO is more simple than an ipod, namely because the system is all drag and drop without being forced to convert your media or use of a resource hogging program.
Own this, and you'll have your proof that ipods suck and a reason to flaunt it all over Mapple fans.

- Pros: Really good tuner, best I have ever used, picks up stations I never knew existed.
Sound quality, Goodness, the best I ever heard. Makes my IEM's really shine, puts my old mp3 player and my friends iphone to shame!
The screen it good
Intuitive GUI, yes, I said it. Even my technically impaired girlfriend figured it out in a day. The menu system is just really straight forward.

- Cons: I don't have one for myself, yet.
Many flash games don't work right, the instruction booklet is useless. Proprietary USB cable. Stock headphones are worthless.
- Other Thoughts: I gave a S9 to my girlfriend for x-mas, I now want one for myself really bad!

A little disappointed
- Pros: -A VERY bright and beautiful screen. Blessings to AMOLED!
- Plays more formats than my old Gigabeat S.
-Amazing sound quality!
-above average battery life.
- Cons: -Fingerprints made the screen harder to see, but I have oily fingers.
-This thing feels and is incredibly flimsy and cheap feeling, the power button toggle has almost fallen off! That is ridiculous considering the high price tag!
- Plays few flash games since it only runs Flash 7 and older.
-The interface on mine was slow and continuous crashes forced me to send it back. (I got mine somewhere else)
- Other Thoughts: If your looking for a strictly music player, than this is the device to get! I have beryerdynamic DT770 headphones and with my Omega Striker I get beautiful sound on my PC, and this player matched that quality! On the other hand although the screen is a bright and pretty AMOLED, the fact that it is touch screen means you will be getting marks all over it, but I guess touch is the new hotness.
Go elsewhere if your looking for mobile flash content or the ability to watch portable movies on a long flight, because the tiny screen and the playback issues I had made video not worth the trouble.
