Excellent
- Pros: Works fine right out of the box. Great price. Car Pack is an excellent package deal.
- Cons: Big and heavy. Zune software is not the greatest, but it works.
- Other Thoughts: All in all, super deal - on sale $99 and free shipping.
Excellent deal
- Pros: - D-Pad is very simple and accurate for control
- interface is very slick (even more so with the 3.0 firmware update) - games with the aforementioned update - well constructed and attractive, if not overly flashy - packaged with decent earbuds - if not for the refurbished sticker I would have never known it was a refurb and in fact appeared completely new and in original packaging - radio was pretty good - after dropping it already several times in the gym (lying on a bench with my pocket open) there were no scratches or other effects - one year warranty from microsoft comes standard
- Cons: far outweighed by the pros, but if there are any:
- first and foremost, the zune software is difficult at times due to all the tabs and relative lack of intuitiveness with adding music to the player - hard to add music directly from pc to zune playlist without individually picking out each song from the zune program collection - this one is mostly an idiot test, but the [down + back] combination to shut off the device wasn't readily obvious
- Other Thoughts: As my internet connection is spotty it was difficult to access/use the wireless or social features, so i'll have to pass judgment. Newegg.com and UPS shipping delivered everything I wanted with no difficulty and exactly on the day which was to be expected from the order form.
Just fine.
- Pros: Cheap refurb price.
No nonsense MP3 player.
- Cons: Came fully loaded with someone else's awful, untagged music and photos (looked like a terrible party in NYC, dude).
- Other Thoughts: Nice deal, no initial problems. The Zune is refurbed and in my case, not even factory reset but it is in new condition.
The car kit is brand new. Sync cable and headphones not sure.
Zune works fine, but I had to go through about 4 complete charge cycles before it quit saying low battery.
The car kit transmitter works fairly well for me on a crowded FM dial in a large city. The ability to switch between the two presets is nice.
As for the Zune software, it take a while to get used to but it's not bad at all. You can always download it and try it if it's an issue.
