5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!

Pros: I owned the first edition Zune (you know...the big bulky one), 30GB. I was SO excited to hear that Microsoft was finally releasing a touchscreen version. I almost filled up my entire 30GB, so I definitely had to get the new Zune HD, 32GB version. The thing is a BEAST! There's nothing about it that I don't like. You can surf the net, download apps/games, watch HD movies, and the battery life is pretty ridiculous -- in a very good way. I often forget I have it on for several days, and when I pick it back up it's still got life in it. Also, it's way slim. So much better than the 1st release.

Cons: If you REALLY want to nit-pick, I hate the on-screen keyboard when browsing or having to type stuff in. I hardly ever use it for Internet on-the-go (I have a phone for that). The keys are "heel-to-toe" next to each other.

Other Thoughts: You won't be disappointed with this device. Holds a ton of music and movies. Touch screen. Easy to navigate through after messing with it for about 5 minutes. Fits easy into your pocket.

5 out of 5 eggsBlows IPOD Touch away

Pros: 1. Sturdy in your hand.
2. Long battery life
3. Nice User Interface
4. visually pleasing
5. Shows band's bios, pictures, related artists etc without being connected to the internet constantly.
6. The above makes IPOD fans really jealous
7. Better music sound
8. AM-FM Radio
9. HD video out options
10. Converts many video formats into playable format.
11. Can customize your own Zune through Microsoft Store.

Cons: 1. Since everyone you know probably has an Ipod, you'll have to bring your charger with you to charge since IPOD and Zune adapters are not the same

2. HD output only if you buy the Zune HD Dock which retails for $80 and is not constructed well.

3. Few Docks for Zune producs

4. Very few aps (didnt you buy an MP3 player for music anyway?)

5. People used to Apple get confused when they want to change the song (is it really a Con if you're the DJ at a party?)

Other Thoughts: If you're a music enthusiast and are interested in reading about the bands you listen to and viewing some of their pictures while you listen to the music, check out Zune HD.

This is a great device for traveling and commuting, but if you're looking for a zillion Aps, you may be better off with Apple.

Pros: This is my second zune hd to replace a stolen one. First one worked like a champ for 10 months. Never had a glitch, never had to reset. Screen stayed scratch free. Used it almost daily. I've rarely had anything work so problem free. Can put any owned song in it, Zune Pass finds your album art. I buy from Napster also. Converted movies and videos put in your collection then sync into your Zune. I really like the Zune software. I've used such worse player interface software that this is like a dream. And I can rent my music--I dont have to buy it --or--you know. Sound is very good. Sound is especially good with a lossless rip. You can lug your Zune dock to granny's, pull out her big ol' tube tv and amaze her with pictures. Stun her with videos.

Cons: This new player may have a glitch. And I'm really suprized. The screen colors are shifted to the red slightly most noticably on medium or low screen brightness. Cant decide how annoying it is verses annoyance of sending it back. Other player colors were perfect. My biggest complaint is 10 months ago they made such a tadoo about the tegra chip and games and apps and have since backed off anything other than saying this thing is for music. It does that well. A Swiss army media gadget it isnt. The preset eq settings to my ears make it sound worse. What our Zune needed was an adjustable one--they've been asking for that on the forums since the days of the original Zunes. Will we get that? A calender? A place to write notes? Decent apps? Internet radio app? Theres a sticky for the zune team on the forums they ask you what youd like to see on your zune hd. Doesnt hurt to ask. Crazy at this point to ask, but doesnt hurt. Its the good player that could have been--so much more fun.

5 out of 5 eggsZunePass FTWin

Pros: This player has everything i was expecting from a touch player. Very Satisfied. Touch response is very nice. Interface was easy to get used to. Included Browser/wifi was adequate to check web when in hotels away from home. For me, the best trait of this device over ipods is the Zune Pass option. The unlimited music option / 10 dlds blew me away.

Cons: Everything is IPOD. Small selection of choices for Zune Docks, or other portable speakers/adapters. You have to use general 1/8th inputs to connect to other hardware devices. Hardly any applications. Skipping tracks is somewhat tedious using the touch screen. Setting up playlists straight up sucks, but ive gotten used to it.

Other Thoughts: I was able to use the HD radio when flying overseas. Which was a little added bonus when trying to get scores live during the world cup.

I simply just dont like Apple Brand / Image. Zune was a good option for me. Watching Videos the unlimited music, and having internet was a huge bonus. The browser could also use some upgrades. No tabs or multiples sessions.Trying to get free internet at hotels that require you to log in through a web page is tough. As soon as you leave the login in page it tried to disconnect your internet like i need an active session or something.

I look forward to Windows 7 Phone.

Pros: I had gotten the 120 Zune for a gift. It was awesome in more ways than one. Minor problems with the 120 was an operator fault (me). Purchased from Walmart at a price much higher than Newegg. I am looking forward to getting the HD Zune. This time from Newegg. I cannot comment on the HD but if it's half as good as the 120, I intend to purchase one or drop some hints to my gift giver.

Cons: It got stolen by my apartment maintenance man. Was unable to get it back. I think he likes it too! Yes a good comfortable, long chorded, snug fitting pair of head phone can be purchase anywhere if you don't like the provided head phone. That's what I did, bought a pair and the sounds from the 120 Zune was to my fancy.

5 out of 5 eggsTop notch piece of tech

Pros: Light
Form Factor
Battery Life
Sounds Quality
Video Quality
GUI
HD Radio

Cons: Semi-frequent resets needed
Reds on my unit are pixelated in videos
No current flash apps

Other Thoughts: This is an amazing unit and it exceeded my expectations in most cases.
-I consider myself as an audiophile and with my Sony MDR V 700's, the music seems perfectly balanced.
-The transfer to Zuneplayer from iTunes was rough but the GUI ZuneHD is amazingly intuitive.
-For some reason the reds on my unit are pixelated when I watch movies... im not sure if this is software or hardware issue. Either way, the video quality is better than my 42'' plasma, even with a non-HD source. The OLED is gorgeous and super responsive.
-The accelerometer is super sensitive.
-Sometimes I have to reset the unit, but it only takes 10 seconds.
-HD Radio is cool and lets you add songs you hear to your shopping cart through tagging (I guess).
-It would be nice for them to make a youtube app, or just give it flash support since its Tegra cores support it.

Honestly, this is the best mp3 player on the market, don't settle for an iPod.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: this music play is great everything you want in 1 package, and the screen puts the itouch to shame and so does the sound of the music.

Cons: nothing in my opinion i knew what it had and didnt, but for some the apps, or the wifi, they arent that great.

Other Thoughts: first off its not going to find the drivers without the zune software, they dont have that many apps and the wifi is ok but not the best, so if your looking for apps and wifi go with the itouch, if you music and videos the zune hd beats the itouch hands down, music is so clear with HD Radio!! videos are crazy on here hd videos even regular pictures and videos look hd.

5 out of 5 eggsLove It

Pros: Great Interface, very user friendly
Very Nice Design
I've been an IPOD user all my life, but I got this as a present. I am now officially disowning my IPOD

Cons: not much I can critique on, maybe battery life but even that is not too bad

4 out of 5 eggsBetter as just a music and video player

Pros: - Screen and overall build quality is lovely.
- Interface is minimalistic and easy to navigate (not to mention it provides a bio, pics, and related artist information)

Cons: - No dedicated volume button
- The browser is pretty useless
- Almost no apps available

Other Thoughts: If you are a Zune fan you know what you are getting into, and the Zune HD is no exception. Its main selling point is as a music playing and discovery device. The browser is not executed well, and there are not many apps. So for those who are looking into getting a device for mobile gaming, or browsing move on.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected!

Pros: Crystal clear screen, great sound quality, good touch sensitive screen, storage space.

Cons: Headphones suck, but can easily be switched with other ones.

Other Thoughts: Its Microsoft! Much better than an Itouch...also less expensive.
