After all...I'm happy!
-
- Pros: Light, small, nice to touch, hanging around neck option, no screws for disassembly, lot of memory, simple menus for navigation (I've had before Chinese MP3 players similar to this one so I used to it) Can be used as flash drive (don't expect same speed). Simple making directories and coping files, although you have to set for each directory repeat option otherwise will keep playing all directories you make. (I'm using Windows Commander rather then Explorer)
Electronic inside is very nice and reasonably protected. Installation was simple on my Vista 32-bit Home Premium didn't ask for any drivers just accepted as a flash drive. Else is in my video.
- Cons: Battery life to short, only one video format support (MTV), to slow with copying large files (as someone already pointed...might get choked during coping over 4 GB...I didn't wanna try, as soon as I noticed dropping of speed on 600MB file I stop it...just in case...)
battery has soldered pins rather then connectors (but not really the problem for those who knows how to unsolder and solder electronics). There is enough space for the connector.
- Other Thoughts: Battery:
Has a lot of space (650 mAh batt. can be held) between board and battery are squares of sponge separating them (good thing if the battery gets overcharged and get hot). Disassembly is relatively simple (not recommended for those who doesn't work with small electronics) and goes from the top cover, no screws outside (inside are 3 little screws connected to the bottom of the case) Battery life is not even close to advertisings, 350 mAh is not enough. I charge it as it was written in manual but I can't get more then 5 hrs of music. I couldn't find this battery on internet nor on the site of nextar (there is a part number on it KH0810203370) Video formating: To convert videos to 128x128 pixels (only resolution for this model) you need to do it with scroll button (wheel) or with arrow keys on the drop down menu coz there are no full drop down menus in video converting program settings, same is with the quality of videos. Manual has enough infos how to handle this player.
great
- Pros: -cheap (IF ON SALE)
-works great -charges faster than ipods (in my car) -i guess it plays video but i dont know why you would want to -8gb -works under linux -easy drag and drop flash memory -small -good battery life
- Cons: -cheap
-finding songs is slow and could be better -uhh did i say cheap? - neckless like headphones that just lets the mp3 player hang at your chest (b00b level) -yea i think i said cheap.
- Other Thoughts: if you understand its cheap and disposable than its amazing for the price. i got this for my car because everytime i go to use my car ipod touch it has to recharge and i cant use it for 30 min making it worthless. IF this dies it charges quick and plays as soon as its plugged in. im very happy with it but i would not have got it for anything other than sale price
Nice MP3 Player
- Pros: I used BonkEnc to convert a folder of .wav files to .mp3 at 320 kbps CBR (constant bit rate). The mp3s sound great on this player. Easy drag and drop to put the files on the player. No driver install required. Easy switch between MTP and MSC folder view by pressing the play button. Good buy at the $32 sale price.
- Cons: Basic interface screen - no music sort options. The red/black color combo clashes.
- Other Thoughts: I already had nice earphones so have not tried the earphones that came with the player.
