So So product
- Pros: Runs very hot, doesnot support some .avi and mp4 files.
- Cons: does not support partitions on the drive.
- Other Thoughts: there is no way to add more file formats,atleast there should have been some options like sansa media player to upgrade the firmware for better performance.
Price too high
- Pros: Nice little gadget, just move media file to HD, connect cable to TV & use remote control setup video output. Smooth picture & sound. Choice your own language.
- Cons: Price too high, no Harddrive included. Media files limited. No HDMI output, Can't recognized partition.
- Other Thoughts: This week I spend over thousand dollars from Newegg but this item I bought from somewhere else. Sorry. This little thing should drop another 50% of selling price.

Manufacturer Response:Thanks for choosing IOGEAR's Portable Media Player. From your concern above, if you have purchased GMD2025U120, it should come with a 120GB harddrive inside the media player. The GMD2025U is the one comes without the harddrive. I believe you have purchased GMD2025U instead of GMD2025U120; however, since this prodcut has a 1 year warranty, if you have purchased GMD2025U120 without a harddrive, please give our 24/7 support team at 1(866) 946-4327 and they would be able to swap a unit for you becasue the harddrive is missing. - Pros: Easy to use and comes with all the accessories you need.... Menus are self explanatory and the device has control buttons on it incase you lose the remote. Smart move by IOGear... I was told by IOGear that I should be able to swapt the hard drive if needed. The carrying case come sin handy. I have this set up in my wife's minivan. I hooked it up to the portable DVD player and the kids are no longer limited to DVDs.
- Cons: Remote takes a while to get used to. IOGear should make a car charger adapter available for this device. I have this plugged in to an AC/DC inverter.
- Other Thoughts: First one I received shorted out, the seconf one I received had a bad hard drive and the third one worked perfectly.
