Boombug Portable Mini Premium Speaker SPLW11-5 PUR

Pros: It would be great if it worked.

Cons: Does not hold a charge and there is a constant feed back noise. I tried this with my computer and Ipod.

Pros: Does what it's supposed to. Sounds pretty good.

Pros: We found the sound quality to be decent, and the battery life was ridiculous, not having to be charged until probably 20 hrs of continuous use

Pros: Amazing little speaker. When you open the shell to the full accordion look it is apparent how much bass is added. I bought two of these. I have had for less than a month and haven't had to charge yet. Look to purchase for around $11.

Pros: Ok this thing is rechargeable with out batteries, comes with a recharge USB connection (one reviewer said he didn't get one...) . I'm on my second one only because the firs one seemed to die because it was melted by a blow dryer. Bit this thing has great sound. Use it for a portable laptop speaker and ipod. So much better than ihome overpriced junk. Been through about 3 ihome speakers. Fiance loved this boombug!

Cons: Build quality is pretty darn cheap. Don't squish the bug too hard

Cons: Speaker battery does not hold a charge, received with a completely dead. Unfortunately not worth paying to return, so take my advise choose the Kinivo 3.5mm Mini Speaker with Rechargeable Battery ZX100. I also purchased this at the same time I wanted to compare them, so my loss I hope is your gain. Don't take the chance on getting a good one.

Other Thoughts: Just get the Kinivo 3.5mm Mini Speaker with Rechargeable Battery ZX100 for just a little more it is a great little speaker.

Pros: It's portable, and hold paper down fairly well

Pros: The speaker itself is great to boost the sound of any mp3 player or other audio device. Built in battery is a great idea EXCEPT...

Cons: I bought three of these and the purple bug didn't come with a USB charge cable or instructions. I don't know what happened in the packaging of the speaker, but this purple one didn't have those things.

Pros: It's small, light, not flimsy, has an internal battery, self-storing audio cable, good sound for the size, more bass than I expected, and it can get surprisingly loud without sounding bad. The on/off switch and volume control are separate, so the volume stays set when you turn it off.

Cons: The sound isn't fabulous, but it's quite good for the size.
It's mono, of course (well, the 1/8" plug is stereo, and both stereo channels play out of one speaker).
The audio cord is short, about 4 inches, but it stores very neatly in a slot in the case.

Other Thoughts: You get the most bass by sitting it upright on a hard surface. If you close it up, the bass reduces a lot, but it does still play.

Pros: I love this little speaker! So far I have used it on my laptop, mini world band radio, and my MP4. The sound is awesome and the size is perfect for my purse or electronics gadget bag(s). To give you an idea of the power; I was doing domestic tasks in a very large room - the Boombug was attached to my laptop in a far corner projecting quality sound with nice bass. Yesterday I had the speaker hooked up to my MP4 while at work. It was easy to decrease and/or increase the loudness for incoming phone calls or staff questions.
It is more than I expected from a portable mini speaker. I will no longer be carting my dual speakers around the house to listen to podcasts on my laptop. I just purchased another as a gift for a family member for Winter Economy Day (12/25)!
