You'll experience a vast tonal range, from the deep lows of a bass line to the soaring highs of a vocalist. It's the result of advanced Bose waveguide speaker technology coupled with a highly efficient, one-of-a-kind new woofer.
The waveguide, a long tube intricately folded inside the system, strengthens sound from the woofer to deliver deeper, stronger low notes you'll notice right away.
Pros: Obviously this thing puts out some of the most amazing sound available for a unit of this size. It has great bass, and sounds amazing no matter how high you turn up the volume. The design is very catching, and if you have owned a previous model of the sounddock, you could tell right off the bat that this one was going to blow them out of the water. Its significantly heavier, due to the subwoofer, and the remote is sleek and easy to use.
Cons: I personally bought this sounddock as a use between stereo for my tv, and a stereo for my ipod. I figured with a unit this size, I would not move it around much, and thought it would be great as a better set of speakers for my television. However, the Panasonic tv that I have only has a digital audio output, therefore I was unable to connect the two. I then connected the Sounddock 10 to my Mediacom box, but was unable to use my Sounddock 10 as my stereo for when I used my PS3 for blurays and videogames. If you plan on using this as strictly an Ipod dock, this is the best purchase you can make. However, if you want to get great sound from your Ipod as well as your tv, I would suggest purchasing the Bose CineMate Series II for the same $600 price.
Other Thoughts: I bought the Sounddock 10, tried it for a week and told Bose about my situation, and they suggested the CineMate Series II to me. They actually said the music would sound just as good, if not better, and the movies and television would be far better. They were happy to exchange the two, and seemed very helpful. I do not regret my decision one bit, and I think the CineMate Series II actually sounds significantly better. It is connected by one digital cable, and any HDTV, that I am aware of, has a digital audio output. The Bose website says it takes all of 5 minutes to set up, and they weren't lying. When playing the tv through the Sounddock 10, there was a lot of echo, and it only sounded good when playing music. The digital cable makes a world of difference, and the Cinemate sounds amazing with music or tv/movies.

Pros: This thing sounds amazing. I bought mine after xmas, and was hesitant to spend so much on an iPod dock, but after havign it a week I don't regret it at all. It has amazing sound, a solid remote, bass response much better than I expected and it can handle very high volumes without distortion. But really, you spend this kind of cash for the sound, and the 10 delivers. If you heard the first two before, go listen to this one, it makes both of those sounds like battery powered computer speakers from 1990. Its fit and finish is what you would expect of a $600 product and it works just as well with my iPhone 3GS as it does with my 160GB iPod classic.
Cons: Its $600! But its also much larger than I expected, and quite heavy. Heavy isn't really a con though, as its a large part of why the bass is so good on this model. The remote is solid, but I don't care for the layout and all the buttons are identical.
Other Thoughts: Obviously if you are even considering dropping $600 on an iPod dock you are doing so cause sound quality and accuracy is important. Listening to this speaker you will hear details you haven't heard before in your music. If you are near a Bose store go listen to it in person, it really is worth the time. But if you have to order blind, Bose offers an unconditional 30-day money back guarantee.

Slick form factor - easy to transport - great volume
Pros: I actually won this in a contest before I ever had an iPod. Well, of course the next day I went out to buy an iPod to use with it. That was about 7 years ago! The Sound Dock is still going strong and the speaker is flawless. It even works well outdoors during a party. Very cool. I know it's pricey, but it's a high quality Bose!
Cons: Nothing - even the remote control still works!

Pros: I just went to a Bose new porduct release today. and this thing blew me away. the room was about 50 feet long and the base on this "portable" unit mind you, was rocking the bass so hard the pictures on the back walls were buzzing. amazing production!
Cons: the only thing is its kinda expensive, and you have to buy the blue tooth dock if you want to use anything other than an ipod / iphone etc, or use the 3.5mm jack in the back. the usb in the back doesn't work for music its strictly for firmware updates.
Other Thoughts: Other than the price and the kinda restricted options for sound, this thing is amazing. totally blew me away. hopefully in the future they will release more options for inputs.
