2 out of 5 eggsDead after a months use

Pros: Good build quality, the cable works with iphone 4 even with bumper on. waterproof, but not sure if that's needed.

Cons: fm signal strength was limited so never really get clear sound, but that's probably due to FCC limitations.
FM transmitter stopped working in about a month.

Other Thoughts: I know it has some gimmicky auto turn on and off feature, but I tried ever possible way to get it to work again with no luck. It still charges my iphone tho'.. and philips warranty dept will only refund my purchase price instead of replacing it.. i know paying 2.99 is a lot easier then sending a replacement. I wish they paid my tax and shipping as well.

5 out of 5 eggsGood transmitter

Pros: Good size
Main bulk is in the part that plugs in
Clear transmissions
Easy to switch stations and wide range

Cons: auto finder is worthless
doesn't have a stand

Other Thoughts: I have used several and so far this is my favorite because it has a wide range of stations to transmit on and actually clips in

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful!

Pros: Cleared out majority of the "fuzz" on startup, switching stations is as easy as giving it a little tap and then waiting to see where it goes, and hooked in easily to my ipod. I've never owned a better transmitter. Transmission signal was so good that when I started getting a signal on the station I was on, the station signal had to be almost clear before it would overpower the transmitter.

Cons: A bit bulky I guess, but that doesn't really matter to me.

Other Thoughts: I'm having a hard time believing that $2.99 isn't a price mistake. This thing is wonderful!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Best FM transmitter I've used. I've tried a few before and never been satisfied until now. I bought one for my brother-in-law, too and he said the same thing.

Cons: My son accidentally kicked it and broke into several pieces, but went back together easy enough and still works several months later.

Other Thoughts: I certainly wouldn't have paid the msrp, but for the price I paid (about 1/5) it was a great buy.

5 out of 5 eggsA must-buy at this price

Pros: - As FM transmitters go, this one has strong transmission strength (only one I know of, the iRiver, has had better transmission strength by my ear)
- Slick form factor, easy to read display
- Very easy tuning/navigation, better than any other I've used
- Adjustable head for awkwardly placed outlets
- Neat IntelliTune function that finds a good FM frequency to use

Cons: Not really a con, just a word to the wise:

- If your iPod/iPhone is plugged in before the car is turned on, it won't transmit (only charge). PLUG YOUR DEVICE INTO THE DLO AFTER THE CAR IS ON.

Other Thoughts: Anyone saying it "doesn't work" should play with it. If an iPod or iPhone is plugged into it when the car is turned on, it enters some kind of bypass mode, where it charges, but doesn't transmit.

If you simply start the car, THEN plug in your iPod/iPhone, it should work as intended every time. I have owned mine for the better part of a year and have had zero complaints. At $5, I will be buying three or four so that I can have backups or give them as gifts. I highly recommend you do the same, it's a great product.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it even at this price...

Pros: The display (kind of an aqua LED color) is very crisp and easy to read, and also dimmable.

Cons: A bit bulky for car use due to the waterproof "sleeve" on the transmitter/charger, but that was the least of my concerns. Horrible sound quality, and the recommended frequencies that IntelliTune found were unusable. I never was able to find a static-free frequency before mine died within the first week, just like the previous reviewer.

Other Thoughts: I purchased it from Buy, and they gave me a full refund...which is the best indicator of just how bad this product is.
