1 out of 5 eggsHobbible Item!!!

Pros: It is a transmitter....kinda sorta.

Cons: Zero transmission range.

Other Thoughts: I borrowed it from a friend. She tried to warn me about how horrible it is. I had it on top of my stereo and it didn't work. I had to run the FM antenna wire to the top of the stereo and lay the transmitter on it and even then it barley worked. I bought a Coby digital transmitter for 15 bucks.(unfortunately from another site...Newegg dosen't carry them) It' great!!! It transmitted clearly from inside my spare room through the house and onto my back deck. About 30 - 35 feet.

1 out of 5 eggsLook elsewhere

Pros: Small--Didn't take up much room in the trash can.

Cons: Simple concept--plug in your mp3 player, find a good station, and listen. I live in a small town with very little interference. I tried all the station settings, and I could never find a decent one. I tried it in 3 different cars and my home receiver--none worked well. All had at least some static, most were not usable at all.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well, it is somewhat compact and portable, and battery life is fair, but that's about it.

Cons: The sound quality of the transmitted signal is just poor. When you transmit sound on FM radio, you invariably get some magnetic disturbance, atmospheric disturbance, or whatever mixed in with the sound. The quality just doesn't cut it, and the range is terrible.

Other Thoughts: If you are interested in connecting your digital audio player to your stereo, I'd recommend a 3.5 mm to RCA cable. If you want to connect it to your car stereo, I would also recommend a wired connection. With any type of FM transmitter, you are bound to get some noise mixed in with the sound.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: it let me listen to my iPod in the car

Cons: sucks batteries dry in no time at all, weak signal, and severely limited choice of frequencies. Even in a relatively small north east Texas town, those four stations are pretty congested.

Other Thoughts: its low cost is severely offset by the cost of the batteries it will suck dry

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this!

Pros: None. This thing never worked for me.

Cons: Weak signal strength, limited choice of stations to use. If you live in a metro area with lots of radio stations forget about this thing. Get a transpod or something else instead.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth time and money

Pros: Compact size.

Cons: Poor sound quality, no pick of stations. There was so much static in the music that I couldn't leave it on to corrupt my music. Terrible.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it, Look for other options.

Pros: Wireless, very compact.

Cons: its wireless capability and range is very limited. Sometimes it feels as if I was listening to static filled AM radio. No point on using this thing anymore. I am currently looking for a propper receiver with either an AUX input or a full on USB input for iPods. The real deal.

2 out of 5 eggsWasted Money

Pros: Cheap & very easy to use.

Cons: Only four freq. to use, but what makes it an absolute waste of money? The only way to get music without static is to lay it directly on top of a portable radio. In every vehicle there was enough static to destroy the music sound.

Other Thoughts: FM transmitters are a great idea and I'm going out this weekend to purchase one that works.
