5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product and Support

Pros: Very fast with Intel I5 CPU, quiet SMART fan with linear speed increases, no big noisy steps.

Cons: Mother Board had a flaw that randomly shutdown WIN 7. An fast RMA MB fixed the problem. Support was excellent.

Check your BIOS displayed voltages first thing. If VIDEO CORE = 0.12 volts vs 1.x volts, the MB is hosed.

Other Thoughts: Really nice product, extremely quiet and fast. I see TURBO action from 1.5GHz up to 3.8 Ghz dynamically to preserve power and heat - really cool for sure. I am running an SDR radio with Fast Fourier Transforms so speed is paramount.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's okay

Pros: -Small form factor.

-USB charging port when the unit is off.

-Plenty of USB 3.0 ports.

Cons: -Power cables are not long enough to the video card, they are too short and putting the drive cage back in while trying to negoiate the cables is truly a pain and puts undue pressure on the video ccard.

-The back of the case where you screw down the video card the holes don't match up and I have no way to secure the video card.

Other Thoughts: Had to RMA the first time due to high temps, it was either the heatsink or a broken thermometer or somethign but the second one was much better than the first.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat overall gaming setup

Pros: Ive been building gaming machines for over 10 years now and this is my first foray into smaller form factor cases and let me tell you ... bravo Shuttle. Not only does this case support full sized video cards such as the GTX 560ti, which is installed but it has the capability to support multiple hard drives and a full compliment of non low-profile ram. The sturdiness of the case along with the curved edges made the installation a piece of cake. I have a 300gb WD Raptor as the primary and still had room to install a 1.5tb Seagate for storage and what not. Very impressive case overall. Bios was a piece of cake, cabling was tolerable considering size of case and front panels worked (opened and closed) with no issues.

Cons: The only donwside to this case is that there is no built in wi-fi. Not a huge deal, as you can buy usb wi-fi cards for about $40, but having it internal would have been great. Now mind you, if you DONT install a video card that takes up both PCIe slots, then you should be able to buy a micro PCIe card and pop that in. This defeats it being a gaming machine however as no high end video card will only take up one slot. Other than that, the no issues.

Other Thoughts: The system specs are:
Intel Core i5-2500k @ 3.6ghz
Crucial DD3 8GB
WD Raptor 300GB (O/S)
Seagate 1.5TB (secondary)
Pioneer Blu-Ray burner @ 12x
EVGA GTX 560ti w/ 448 cores

5 out of 5 eggsBeen using Shuttle brand since 07

Pros: Pros:
- Fast
- Reliable
- Small
- Lots of room for expansion and capabilities

Cons: Cons:
- Only con is replace the stock fan with a quieter one. Shuttle still hasn't been able to provide a decent fan in the 5 years Iv been building these. I went with a Noctua 92mm PWM fan.

Other Thoughts: My Build - Gaming Rig
Core i7 2500k
EVGA GTX 670 FTW+ 4gb 256bit
Gskill 16gb Rip Jaw series ram (4x4)
Samsung 840 Pro 256gb SSD
Noctua 92mm PWM CPU Fan
Noctua 120mm (x2) fans
Custom cut/built shell using the factory case

LOVE these computers. Currently building an older one for HTPC

5 out of 5 eggsFast good design

Pros: Highly recommend. I get the same power from this as a big case computer system and mobo. I installed server 2008 in under seven minutes from a USB flash drive onto a SSD hyperX 240. Paired with a i7 3770K

Cons: It didn't come with a screw driver, for assemble so I got to use a knife as a screw driver, but I'm still impressed.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy another one

5 out of 5 eggsNice Package

Pros: 4 Dimm slots
1 mSata slot for SSD
Interesting cooler
Small package
Keeps cool and quiet

Cons: Could use better bios

Other Thoughts: Using with I7-3770S, Muskin 240 GB mSata SSD, Kingston Hyperix 1600 memory and a LG BR Burner. I cannot tell if the memory is running at 1600 or for some reason throttled back to 1333. Beware, this motherboard, unlike other Mini ITX Z77 boards does not support the XEON E3 series at this point in time. I had some issues with this when I first got the package, but Shuttle tech support worked very diligently to get things going. Very responsive

2 out of 5 eggsFirst one has onboard video + CMOS issue, RMA'ing with Newegg

Pros: * Nice compact design.
* Accepts a full size ATX Power Supply.
* Decent price.

Cons: * Should have made the HDD tray removable or front/side loading.
* First one was not fully DOA but has intermittent onboard video artifacting.
* PC Doctor says CMOS pattern test failed.
* Front USB 3.0 port is randomly connecting/disconnecting my external drive.

Other Thoughts: For the price, you expect it to perform better. I might just have to build my own instead...

2 out of 5 eggsBIOS is faulty??!! (already have latest version)

Pros: Form factor. Size. Isn't that why we all buy this? =)

Cons: 1) There is very little space between the top of the GPU and the drive chassis. I believe others have pointed this out as well, but what happens is, the drive chassis will push down on the GPU, which in turn puts a fair amount of pressure on the mobo. I have a GTX480.

2) Doesn't come with a 2.5 rack, so at the moment I have my SSD sort of taped inside the drive chassis (not a huge deal, but I thought I should mention it so that others know to buy a separate rack alongside the Shuttle)

3) MAIN PROBLEM:

After I installed the OS (first, Win7 then Win8, because I was trying to find the cause of the problem), I noticed that the computer would hang right after the POST screen. In other words, it wasn't booting the OS.

I'm going to spare everyone how I found the solution to this but I basically go into the BIOS setting EVERY TIME I boot the machine then TOGGLE the "USB Boot" setting from "enabled->disabled" and VICE VERSA each time.

Yes, let me repeat that. If the last time my machine booted with the USB Boot setting "enabled", I need to switch it to "disabled", then boot. And the next time I boot, I need to go into the BIOS and switch it back to "enabled".

So far, I haven't found any other article on the internet pointing this out, so I think this may just be a faulty BIOS or something. But it's highly annoying. What's the point of having a 3770K i7 with fast-boot if you have to pay a visit to the BIOS screen EVERY TIME?? (to be fair, once I get past that, my OS boots in literally 1.0 second)

I'm giving this 2 Eggs for now. And will begin contacting Shuttle for support (i.e a new BIOS?). Depending on the outcome, I'll come update my review.

4 out of 5 eggsNeeded BIOS Reflash

Pros: Its quiet, fast, cool for such a small pc.
Four Ram Slots.

Cons: Had to reflash BIOS, had the latest version but settings were missing..

Cables were all bunched up, no cable management to speak of unless you use all the cables..

4 out of 5 eggsNice little barebones box

Pros: Nice size.

Cons: When closing the optical drive tray, it gets caught on Shuttle's door.

The front panel USB header cable is shrink wrapped with firm plastic which, if bumped, can rip the connector off the motherboard pins, and bend the pins.
