5 out of 5 eggsGreat little box

Pros: Small size, quiet fan operation, very durable construction.

Cons: memory is hard to install due to the small size

Other Thoughts: Great little box, with a decent price.

4 out of 5 eggsWatch the drive CD. Infected with Trojan

Pros: Small size, impressive speeds with Core I3-2100 and Intel SSD drive.

Cons: Driver CD is infected with a Trojan. I used the Windows 7 USB download tool to install the ISO to a thumb drive to boot and install from it. Then went to copy the CD contents to the thumbdrive for drivers and it caught this with Kaspersky.

Trojan.win32.Agent2.FJVI in \Data\run.exe

4 out of 5 eggsGreat little HTPC

Pros: Tiny, quiet little box with as much capability as a standard desktop PC. Lacks only PCIe and optical capabilities, but if you're considering this box, you already know about that.

Cons: I love that it has USB 3.0 ports, but I wish there was also a USB 2 port on the back.

Other Thoughts: As other reviewers noted, it runs a little warm to the touch. However, the internal temperatures are completely within spec, so I'm not worried.

I'm running this as a MythTV frontend+backend with an HD HomeRun Prime, with 4GB of RAM, 500GB 2.5" drive, and an Intel G1610. Runs beautifully; no complaints.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsume box

Pros: Incredibly Small
Solid construction

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I bought this with an i3 and 8 gigs of ram for a box running XBMC. Playback of all content including 1080p is flawless. This thing is small, far smaller than I thought it would be. I plan on buying another two of these for low power appliances that require more horsepower than something like an RPI can handle.

5 out of 5 eggsFinally, a decent behind the monitor CPU!

Pros: Small and compact metal construction. Not cheap flimsy metal, but solid easy to work with precision built metal.
Multiple mounting options such as wall mount and VESA mount.
Very quiet.
Fast, especially when combined with a SSD.
USB 3.0
mSATA slot in addition to 2 SATA ports
Legacy audio support
SDCard Slot
HDMI(w/Audio) and DVI with analog compatibility using a DVI to VGA adapter.

Cons: Firmware is needs minor improvement. Enabling Quick Boot locks you out of CMOS settings as the USB keyboard isn't fully initialized prior to the very brief "Press F2 for Setup" prompt during post. The only way back into CMOS is to remove the cover and use tweezers to reset the CMOS CLR jumper between the HDMI port and CPU heatsink. Not a lot of fun.

Unable to adjust Wake On RTC settings to schedule automatic power on at a specific time. The setting is there, just grayed out and can't be changed.

Other Thoughts: I absolutely love this box. It is very easy to assemble. The metal chassis just feels right, like an expensive piece of equipment.
I deployed this one in a conference room for Skype and mounted it to the wall behind a 50" display. 3 more conference rooms and 12 bullpen computers to go.

This is by far the best behind the monitor solution to date. One that can perform just as good as a desktop. I considered the Intel NUC but was disappointed with the lack of versatility.

Just a word of caution. I inadvertently tried to install the OS using a flash drive on the USB 3.0 ports on the back. Windows XP blue screens and Windows 7 gets stuck looking for its installation files. I spent longer than I should have looking for every possible driver, slipstreaming, etc only to realize that had I used the 2.0 ports on the front installation would have been a breeze.
Hope this helps.

CPU and Memory support list is missing in the Newegg specs but can be found here:

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Amazingly small size.
Returns to the old Shuttle build quality - this thing is built like a tank.
Conventional heatsink rather than shuttle heatpipe but with an i3 and an SSD the fans are almost silent

Cons: Regular heatsink and fans - might be concerned about temperature if you had an i7 and a spinning drive

Other Thoughts: Dual Gig-e and dual USB3 in the size of a set top box - an embedded PC with more power than most desktops.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome ESXi Box

Pros: Small form factor
Power efficient
Sandy or Ivy Bridge
Easy to set up

Cons: Heat dissipation
No audio out on the back
No USB2.0 on the back

Other Thoughts: If you have any familiarity with installing hardware this thing is a breeze to put together. I have it running an Ivy Bridge Corei3, 16GB G.SKILL RAM and a Western Digital black 500GB 2.5" HDD. ESXi recognized all the hardware without any hacking. Perfect!

I'm a little concerned with the heat dissipation. It gets quite warm when running a few VMs but so far so good.

5 out of 5 eggsNeeds a CPU

Pros: This product needs a Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge 65W CPU.

This is to cancel out the previous "single egg" review who author couldn't figure that out. Or to suggest that the previous review be removed along with this one.

Cons: I don't own the product to so can't comment on it's pros or cons. But it shouldn't get a single egg because a reader can't understand the product specs.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps Newegg should put a link on each product page for reporting errors/improvement.

1 out of 5 eggsIncomplete specs

Pros: would be helpful it the cpu speed was displayed since it's an important factor these days, maybe more would sell

Cons: not enough specs
