4 out of 5 eggsPretty pleased.

Pros: I have it booting Ubuntu 10.04 x64 off of an SDHC card (default install takes just over 2GB, FYI) and running Boxee. I think the SD card is making the OS a little slow. I'm working on getting it to boot completely from PXE. Failing that, I'll install a real hard drive or SSD.

Relatively inexpensive.

Relatively cool and quiet.

Seemingly fast video decode.

WiFi seems to work well, and comes with dual antennas.

HDMI works without any issue. (I remember reading that a similar system needed a driver for it to activate, which meant that it was blank during boot and install had to be done from DVI.)

Case reasonably attractive, good paint job.

Boots from Ethernet (PXE), Optical Drive, SD card, probably more. (PXE has to be enabled in BIOS first.) (Doesn't seem to be able to boot from PXE over WiFi, not that any other computer I've found does.)

Cons: Useless manual.

No builtin Bluetooth, but there are more than enough USB ports to add a dongle.

I seem to have to point the remote directly at the IR receiver to get it to register, and it's not a battery or remote issue; I tried my universal remote with the same results. The provided remote is pretty lousy, though. Lousy feel, poorly placed buttons, misspellings.

The case is larger than I was expecting. It's still book size, but I was expecting a novel, not a dictionary.

The case is not super sturdy. There's a lot of non-reinforced sheet steel, and it feels like bending it would be easy. In fact, the case arrived with the rear already slightly bent. It appears to have been caused by the factory failing to line the drive bracket up with its alignment pin on the case. Fortunately, it was easy to bend back, and no paint seems to have been damaged.

External power brick. It's not big, but still a pain in the neck.

Other Thoughts: Cons cont'd:

Case is closed with thumbscrews, which is nice, but you have to remove the drive bracket to get to anything else, and they're regular screws, so the thumbscrews are almost pointless. (Also, of the four bracket screws, three were #2 Phillips and one was #1 Phillips, all with the same threading and head shape. That's just lazy.)

The "Jetway" logo on the front is not too bad (and seems like it might be removable), but the "MMC.SD.MS" label is ridiculous. I think we know what that hole is for. It's part of the paint job, too (seemingly a lack of paint under the final lacquer), so not removable. Fortunately, that seems to be the extent of the ridiculous over-labeling that seems so common on Southeast-Asian designed electronics.

---===---
Other Thoughts:

That's a lot of cons, but it's more just for completeness' sake. I'm overall quite pleased. The IR reception is my biggest issue at this point, and that *might* be an issue with the slow OS.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad - wifi atheros + dvd-rom

Pros: I put in a 30G SSD instead of a 2.5" drive.
Runs quick with SSD in place.
The case fan is a bit loud, I might consider shutting it down since the cpu fan is also there.
I wasn't too keen on getting the zotac since it did not come with a fan. The cpu temp shows 50C, this seems to be ok.

Cons: wifi atheros chip doesn't play well in win7. I couldn't get it to find wireless router even though the driver works. Perhaps i missed something in win7.

Other Thoughts: I also bought a wireless keyboard and mouse, the mouse stutters/hesitates sometimes but i think that is due to the wireless interference rather than the box.
