5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So good

Pros: Small. Runs quiet. Super price (shell shock item). Easy setup. shipping is fast as always.

Cons: HD get's hot! CPU and GPU are warm. Instructions are lame but who cares.

Other Thoughts: this replaced a 5year old shuttle that was dying and on life support. Had XBMC running for a few days off a thumb drive. it worked good. very quick and played everything good. when i put in the HD over the weekend i took off the top and have 120mm fan over it to keep it cold. will do a small case mod for the fan. At the moment it's running Win 7 with XBMC at start up. Nothing wrong and runs good. have the wifi taken out and a thumb drive to "ready boost" it.

The graphics are great! for flash, youtube, hulu, xvid, dvix, etc... I haven't tired any games or anything to push the little ion. just youtube all the videos and see for your self. so the price i got it for and what it replaced i'm happy.

hope to get more ram and SDD (when prices go down a bit more) and case mod/hack.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a barebones system

Pros: Small footprint
DIV, HDMI, 6x USB 2.0
Internal 2.5" SATA HDD bay
Gigabit LAN
Wireless G
It's a ATOM netbook without display or optical drive. User supplies HDD and OS.

Cons: Have to have extenal USB device to install OS to HDD (used an ATPI DVD drive and USB adaptor to install Win 7). LCD mount would setup lateral flow cooling, I think vertical mount with convection is better considering how small the case fan is. Bios was 2 revisons out of date and would not recognize USB pointing device on first boot after power-up, but would on subsequent restarts. Updated BIOS cured problem.

Other Thoughts: Foxconn WEB sites contain numerous corrupted zip archives but customer support did respond to e-mails in a timely manner and were very helpful. Must be prepared to flash update BIOS from DOS (used USB memory stick and Win 98 install CD).

4 out of 5 eggsCapable media center but a little noisy

Pros: Tiny form factor, dual-core Atom, and Ion GPU make for a great little media center PC. Running XBMC with hardware acceleration and this little guy is a champ. Replacing an HTPC that was 10 times the size.

Cons: The horrid little fan. The fan tends to kick on to high once the temp sensor gets to 55C and when it does it generates quite a bit of noise. Not noticeable if it's across the room but very annoying if you're within 3 feet.

Bring your own hard drive, memory, and operating system - once you factor these costs in you may be tempted to go for the Acer Revo or Zotac.

Other Thoughts: Took some tweaking to get 1080p MKV's playing without a hick but I'm really happy with the performance and size. Replaced the thermal pads / gum with proper thermal goop and now I'm working on a mod to swap out the fan.
