5 out of 5 eggsAwesome bang for the buck

Pros: Cheap, reliable, ivy bridge goodness.

Cons: Front bezel plastic quality

Other Thoughts: I use this with a i3-3225 as a HTPC and it rocks. I have a SSD and a 4TB for TV recordings and I've had no issues other than the 2 most common: ivy bridge BIOS chip needed to be shipped to me, and the tabs that hold the front face break very easily. Other than that, for $60 it's great.

5 out of 5 eggsFar better than the cost would have you think

Pros: Quality capacitors on the motherboard, a good PSU (Channelwell with proper input filtering and Samaxon caps in the secondary section), good layout, solid metalwork, no sharp edges.

Installed the CPU and RAM, HD and was up and running in 5 minutes.

Cons: The 'silver' around the front is a little cheap looking, but it looks a lot better than the price would have you think.

The blue 'on' LED (in common with other manufacturers) is the same power rating as your cars headlamp. It's stupid bright. Removing it and applying some dark nail-polish (don't tell the wife, eh?) dimmed it right down though.

I wish manufacturer's obsession with blue LEDs would end already!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: I bought this when it was $59.99 including shipping. It is a great deal. Very easy to setup and it runs perfect.

Cons: The front panel is a little cheap looking and feeling.

Other Thoughts: Nice size and performance at a very affordable price.

3 out of 5 eggsNeeds Bios for Ivy Bridge

Pros: Looks nice, small form factor nice for HTPC build. HDMI on MoBo. 7.1 sound.

Cons: The bios will not support an Ivy Bridge Processor. The front bezel is VERY fragile and the plastic tabs WILL break off.

Other Thoughts: Why don't FoxConn supply a bios for the Ivy Bridge before they ship the system? They also need to re-design the front bezel attachment tabs.

I didn't read the reviews before purchase and I too have an Ivy Bridge i5-3470 that wil not work with the bios. Also in assembly the front bezel tabs broke off and now will not stay on the case.

I contacted FoxConn and they said they will send me a bios chip and front bezel......if they do then I guess it will be OK. The case and MoBo are a good barebone for a HTPC build with the HDMI on the MoBo. It is a little cramped for space in the case but it's expected.....it's a small case so I don't see why people complain about it.

3 out of 5 eggsI'm happy now

Pros: Nice little machine and Foxconn backed their product.

Cons: Foxconn

Other Thoughts: Foxconn came through and replaced the bios chip and front bezel. Although, I should have never had to wait for hardware updates from a new product. It appears to me that Foxconn knew about this issue and just waited for customers to notify them. Incidently, it is fairly difficult to get in touch with Foxconn if you have a problem.

Anyway, I do want to thank Foxconn for making their product usable for me.

4 out of 5 eggsadequate and a good value

Pros: very good price.
paired with 8gb of gskill ram and an intell g550 processor and this is all the horsepower i was hoping for at a very low price.
runs linux mint 14 well.
the fans are a tad louder then ideal, but i'm ok with that.

Cons: gskill ram (tried 2 different pairs) only detected at 1066 - never 1333. not a huge deal, but with the flimsy front bezel, and extreemly basic bios that does not allow even forcing the 1333 ram speed, this cost an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy w good enough features

Pros: Bought my first one when it's on sale. Quiet and compact. Mine happened to have a H67S mini-iTX motherboard in there (has HDMI etc.) which is nice. I use a G630 (now I'd suggest G860) CPU Sandy Bridge dual-core no HT with built-in H2500 GPU to build a low cost system. Used the first one on Win 8 Pro and works fine.
This encouraged me to buy another unit to experiment with the other OS with the latest version (as of Dec 2012). For that I have to get a compatible low profile VGA (see review in an etailer, search key "PNY GT640". No other special peripheral to buy. Almost painless to build.

Cons: Biggest con is the price/value is so high, I almost cannot resist to buy the third one (when it was again on sale). But I've used up all my holiday budget :-).
This MB does have problem on USB ports. (Hot plug or high current drain related, I think.) During cold boot or wakeup, sometimes directly attached USB devices would not be detected or (keyboard, flash drive, etc.) Go to the BIOS USB setting, "touch" the setting (change a value then change it back, i.e., changed nothing), then save BIOS setting will force the USB ports to come back. This only happened occasionally (if hot-plug some USB devices), but it is manageable.

Other Thoughts: Buy it. Chassis, motherboard, and power supply altogether with such a low cost (when on sale).

3 out of 5 eggsWin8 Pro - won't turn off

Pros: quite, small, inexpensive

Cons: When I select "shut down" or tap the power button, WIN8 goes through its shutdown sequence, eventually the HDD indicator light shows that there is no more HDD activity, but the power LED remains lit, the fans continue to spin. For the unit to really shut off I need to hold down the power button for 4+ seconds after having gone through the 'normal' shut down process.

WHS2011 will not backup this machine - but that's not the MB's fault.

Other Thoughts: Win8 Pro, 32GB SSD, 160GB HDD, Intel G530, 8GB RAM

4 out of 5 eggsVery good barebones, great tech support!

Pros: Quite machine, compact size, good feature mix; Foxconn has some of the best tech support i've seen. To utilize Ivy Bridge CPU requires new bios; since I live fairly close to CA headquarters, I drove in and tech flashed the new bios while I waited! And replaced the front bezel, too.

Cons: Tabs on plastic front bezel break very easily when removing or installing front cover (tech support very good, will replace)

Other Thoughts: bought to replace media PC with noisy power supply fan. Much quieter! I read previous reviews, so I was aware there may be an issue with the Ivy Bridge CPUs (I installed i3-3225, which is more than adequate to handle WMC.)
