1 out of 5 eggsA piece if junk, and not refundable

Pros: Small, looks cool.

Cons: Weak, super weak CPU. Junk built-in wifi. Non-refundable item. Once you buy, the only thing you can do is throwing it into trash. No refund accepted.

Other Thoughts: I bought this product in order to watch sopcast on my big TV. Since I just need 720p so I thought this PC would be enough. I installed 4GB RAM, 120GB SSD, and Windows 7 64 bit without any problem. However, things went wrong when I attempted to watch video. Sopcast obviously did not work, especially when I watched soccer. The machine is super slow and could not handle even a small bit rate. Things happened like in slow-motion video with lots of stops. I think the fps is only 5. Being too disappointed, I tried to play youtube. The same thing happened in Chrome, even when I set the quality to 480p. Youtube was slightly better when being watched in IE, but you cannot watch sports for sure. I also tried VLC, Windows Media Player with different screen resolution and even set the graphic memory to 512MB in Bios.

Finally I gave up and contacted Newegg for a refund. Unfortunately they did not accept it (I should have read their policy on this item more carefully).

5 out of 5 eggsgreat htpc

Pros: got it on sale $85. great price. small package. it does have wireless. no fan noise. works great as an htpc. openelec just works. low cpu utilization with 1080 movies. tried windows first,. switched to openelec, works much better.

Cons: windows 7 with antivirus program keeps cpus very busy. surfing was slow. movies and graphics were good once hardware acceleration was enabled. maybe stripped down windows 7 with minimal services would perform better...kodi menus and thumbs were sluggish.

Other Thoughts: all in all, a nice small, more than capable platform as openelec htpc. if you're looking for something you can build for under $200 to run kodi, this is your ticket.

4 out of 5 eggsWorking with Openelec 5

Pros: Working with OpenElec 5. You may need to hunt down the custom build that fixes issues with some AMD APUs (including the E350). After that, and if you get the settings right - it works fine. Fanless, and does high bitrate bitstreaming of HD codecs to my receiver just fine. Great for HTPC using OpenElec / kodi.

Cons: Deinterlacing performance is an issue. If you use temporal deinterlacing, it'll perform terribly (at least in linux). Half rate temporal and bob deinterlacing working fine. Additionally the this thing gets really hot. Considering taking the case off and laying it on its side to let the heat just dissipate upwards.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a champ

Pros: Price, quiet operation, small footprint. This is a great replacement for an Android miniTV that was unreliable and slow for my needs. This also includes wired networking, USB 3.0, and I could throw in a 32gb SSD I had laying around to speed things up. I love it!

Cons: heat, but not an issue so far. It does get hot but as long as you have it properly mounted in the cradle the heat dissipation is good

Other Thoughts: To the reviewer stating that there is an issue with openelec 5.0, I have been using this with openelec 5.0.0 since early January without an issue. Perhaps you need to update your repositories or add-ons. Worked for me

2 out of 5 eggsToo Many Issues

Pros: Small Perfect for an HTPC Satellite. Fanless. Does run windows 7 x64 OK Better if you trim out the install and get rid of the things you aren't using.

Cons: Doesn't run new openelect 5 correctly some kind of issue with the videocard
Range on the wifi is Horrid almost unusable
Won't run Windows Media Center Properly 1080P Playback as advertised and It pushes the boundary of the CPU Cooking. I am thinking about adding a 40MM Noctura Fan to it if they get openelec fixed.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat XBMC box

Pros: runs openElec, Kodi. or other xbmc setup very well. I use it to run Kodi and stream to 42" LED, @1080, smooth.
resonably quick in menues, dead silent. the way to run it is with the base to stand it up. gets hot but works fine

Cons: not free

4 out of 5 eggsPretty hot, nice and small

Pros: Small foot print, plenty of connections, and silent without a HDD in it. The build is solid feeling, though the vesa mount seems kinda of cheap in comparison (didn't plan on using it anyway)

Cons: When first setup it was pretty hot, but that is understandable, and didn't ever seem t o venture into that unsafe range of damaging itself, it was just pretty uncomfortable to touch. Under powered, but again, understandably so given it has no fans.

Other Thoughts: This machine is not meant to be running a full Windows environment, it is much more suited for lighter OS"s such as many distro's of Linux. With that said I wouldn't recommend this to anyone that did not have knowledge, or want a fun box to play around with those operating systems. I personally I will get mine setup as a HTPC, running a stripped down Linux distro, and KODI.

I bought this with a slightly faster than listed stick of RAM. Foxconn lists several working speeds on their website)I would recommend only going to a 4GB stick, because the systems really wont benefit from more before that little CPU just gives up.
