4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small, comes with VESA mounting bracket, laptop-style power supply.

Cons: Weird graphics chipset. Using VGA under Ubuntu, it seems HDMI output is always on?

Other Thoughts: Haven't even bothered with Windows. Runs as a linux kiosk very well.

5 out of 5 eggsMakes great little linux / server box.

Pros: Small, silent, cheap, and plenty powerful for my needs.
If memory serves it's also a gigabit Ethernet adaptor which is great since it functions as my nas.

Cons: Runs a little warm but nothing I'm worried about.

Other Thoughts: Linux 3D support for the Intel GMA 3650 is virtually non existent. I don't know how this thing would handle windows with aero.

Running crunchbang and a few services like samba, vnc, ssh, etc... My ram utilization never goes over 200mb (of 4gb) and the CPU doesn't go over 30%

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for small server (use Linux!)

Pros: Small, cheap, low power, plenty of ports

Cons: Dunno if the video is any good (don't care, either -- I run it headless)

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace an even smaller ARM wall-wart machine. That device was fine for providing DNS, NTP, VPN and basic web service for my home network, but it was underpowered for print serving and storing / manipulating photos in a gallery. This NanoPC handles it fine, and doesn't seem to be much different in power consumption.

2 out of 5 eggsNot good for Windows

Pros: Low cost, nice 'nano' package, low-power Atom dual-core CPU with hyperthreading

Cons: Odd video hardware with extremely limited Windows support - 32-bit Windows 7 only - 32-bit Windows was only able to access less than 3GB of the 4GB RAM I installed - my 6-year-old daughter couldn't even play her (flash) Barbie web games and asked for her old computer back - 15% restocking fee

Other Thoughts: If you plan to run Windows, don't...

Manufacturer Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience but Intel don't release Window7 64bit Drivers,we still waiting for Intel to release it. NT-I1250 is certified for Win7 32bit.Best regards, Foxconn support team.
