Pros: Small Form Factor, great performance, usb 3.0, really as complete a unit as you will find short of sourcing and building a machine yourself.

HD playback up to 1080i was flawless both from the machine and over the network. I don't have any 1080p media but I am sure it will run fine.

Drivers and apps CD is very useful.

Cons: No OS included, for the price it would be nice to see Windows 7 loaded as this machine really seems to be built for that OS.

Only reason for 4 star rating was Price/No OS.

Other Thoughts: Initially loaded Linux Mint. I am not a linux guru so I could not get full functionality. Such as audio over hdmi, remote control and wireless N encrypted networking.

I loaded windows 7 and the system really took off. After drivers and apps were loaded from the provided cd i have full functionality.

I have had no contact with Asrock support. I have read mixed reviews on their support but some searching will turn up forums that have active members who appear to be in direct contact with Asrock....this is promising.

Pros: Intel i3, DDR3, 6 analog audio jacks and onboard 7.1, Gigabit LAN, HDMI built in. Fits my needs nicely for a small 1080p capable HTPC. Attach a USB or Network Cablecard tuner and you're all set. Has no problem driving main 1080p display and 2 Linksys 2200 MCE extenders at the same time. Smoooooth bluray playback.

Cons: Unlike my previous Dell Zino HD the ASRock uses a 2.5 laptop HD rather than a full size 3.5. No real performance difference day to day but more built-in capacity possible with a 3.5. Also they really need to change the name of the company -- ASRock is in pretty big print on the front f the case ;)
