3 out of 5 eggsWorks as tiny PC, but some small problems

Pros: Amazing technology - low power, reasonable speed, very lightweight, tiny

Cons: Fan - intermittantly noisy fan, blades rubbing depending on orientation - could be something hitting it like a wire.
Sound jack - once had no sound at all from audio jack, even after power cycling (tried multiple output devices) - mysteriously started working the next day

Other Thoughts: Not using the projector (don't need one)- it's very low-res, not designed for general PC use, OK for picture shows and the like.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Desktop MiniPC

Pros: Never seen such a fast miniPC like this one compared its price and size: It can boot up in 10 second, and further, I got no problems in playing online games through webpage. Very convenient too: My daughters like to carry this PC to a Kinder garden, picnics, etc.

Note the embedded Projector is just a BONUS: Not bad at all at night compared to its 65-75 lumens.

Two things that users should be aware of, ahead of purchasing this miniPC: First, this PC is compatible with PC3L SODIMM RAMs only, NOT PC3 SODIMM. Second, highly recommend to buy mSATA SSD instead of usual SSD.

Another thing I would like to recommend is to use wireless keyboard/mouse. Much much convenient!!!

Cons: No Cons Yet.
But one thing I would like to suggest is to improve the resolution of the projector.
It should be much better, if Keystone capability is added into the projector, although the price would be more expensive.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not boot past initial screen

Pros: Small form factor
HDMI input (mini)

Cons: Just received the unit and can not seem to get past the initial boot screen.
Tried it w/o any USB, msata, or memory installed, same outcome, very frustrated.
Also tried plugging into HDMI and miniDisplay, same outcome.

Please help and provide a solution.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderfully small, Amazingly Fast and a pico projector to boot! First time in a while a piece of Tech gear got me excited

Pros: 1. Easy Set up, Ran out of the box
Im using XMBC (now KODI) in this box already had a the OS (linux based) on a USB stick. Just inserted the stick and it booted right up. Changed the monitor in settings menu of XBMC off the default to the HDMI and the sound to the HDMI and I was up and running (memory installed Prior to boot without a hitch)

2. Small size but desktop performance
This thing fits in the palm of you hand but has an i-3 processor. It runs better than the last i-3 build I did and handles Blue ray video fine. My wife streams her shows and we watch movies from the hard drive plugged into the USB3 ports

3. lots of 4 USB 3 ports HDMI and Display port SDIF and a projector!

this thing is cheeper than any other SFF with an i-3 processor, has tons of ports compared to some others, and if you go shopping as of this writting you'll pay less for this one than anything else in its size and computing power. The projector works wouldnt want to use it for the main display all the time but it looked OK

Cons: Really? this thing is too cool but Ive only owned it for a 2 weeks and havent updated the bios and wont be using windows on it. so no cons yet.

Other Thoughts: Even though I havent owned it long Im using it every night. My wife watchs her TV shows, and usally we watch a movie on Kodi through a Yamaha Neo YMC-700 and then to a Benq 1080p projector Movies are great of 60' wide screen. I like it so much that I ordered another

2 out of 5 eggsCannot run after upgrading BIOS

Pros: Small
CPU 4th generation

Cons: It cannot run after I upgraded BIOS to F9 downloaded from gigabyte site

Other Thoughts: I have installed Windows 7 64x
After that I upgraded the BIOS to F9
When completed, It can work smoothly, I opened Windows as normal
When I shutdown the Windows, it got some updates from Microsoft, after update completed the power off
But I cannot start it again, the blue led light on the power button flash once when I pressed it, no sound.
I have tried to removed SSD, RAM and unplug the battery for a day, it's still not work.
Tried to connect projector from other source to mini HDMI and the projector still work.

My friend buy this for me, and I have brought it to Vietnam.
I don't need the warranty, just need it to be fixed and work, please advice what I could do.

1 out of 5 eggsDied the first time we used it.

Pros: very small and compact.

Cons: Projector is extremely low resolution
Runs very warm...

Other Thoughts: Installed an OS to the device the first night, had trouble seeing all my windows with the crazy small resolution, but it worked well. After first night's use, device would randomly freeze. In my decade-plus of working with computer hardware, this usually means heat. We live in the northwest so it's not particularly hot usually, but the projector runs very warm and the device feels quite warm to the touch. I can only assume the random freezing is due to the device over-heating. Going to try to see if I can get a warranty replacement. I've bought a lot of Gigabyte hardware over the years and this is the first Gigabyte hardware I've had an issue with.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Projector Low Cost!

Pros: Inexpensive projector and PC. I put two 4GB Crucial DDR3L 1600 sodimm, and a 250GB Crucial MX200 msata ssd card in it. Boots faster into Win 10 than anything I've ever seen before! Is a "real" PC, so can install Linux or Windows on it. Standard looking BIOS, does UEFI/GPT for Win 10 easily. The sound is loud out of stereo speakers.

Cons: Does run warm. I'm thinking of putting a fan beside it to keep it as cool as possible. It hasn't overheated the ssd yet, but it gets close. The projector is low resolution, and not very bright. It comes with a 3 legged stand, one of the legs fell out right after I began to use it. I used some 2 part epoxy, and I assume the leg isn't going anywhere now! Have used it quite a bit for a couple of weeks. Seems to work well!

Other Thoughts: You should not expect to use the projector to use Windows. The low 854x480 video means applications and such just aren't designed for this low resolution. It's fine to bring up netflix, or VLC to watch movies. For what you pay for it, it is a good little mini projector. Perfect for watching TV/movies outside, it just needs to be pretty dark. The small size means you can move it around. I could see it being used as a secondary projector if you are considering a big projector, or as a backup so as not to disappoint friends if a bulb burns out in your primary projector.

4 out of 5 eggsBest value for Money

Pros: - Decent processor for a mini barebone
- All USB ports (4) are USB 3.0
- Comes with a projector that can work standalone
- Small factor model
- On-board stereo speakers

Cons: - No 2.5'' sata drive support
- built-in projector has relatively limited resolution of 864x480
- projector fan makes audible noise
- projector only accepts mini-HDMI input

Other Thoughts: Overall satisfied with the product. One advice for projector - WIndows OS does not show the full native resolution as it only shows the maximum supported resolution as 720x480. However there is a way to enable the resolution of 864x480 in Linux using "xrandr" command. It is recommended to watch movies using this projector in Linux OS as they are significantly better in native resolution, which is especially important for wide format movies (16:9).

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice PC but Windows 10 will not install yet

Pros: I bought this around mid march 2015. I am running windows 8.1 pro. I am using this as a HTPC. I have installed kodi on this It is working very well. Playing movies and youtube videos at full HD without any hiccups. I recently purchased a 4k tv and connected this to the TV and was pleasantly surprised to find out this supports 3820*2160. Per the specs in Gigabyte site it supports 3820*2160 @ 24Hz. I did not tried playing anything from kodi at this resolution. I tired youtube videos at 4k and found this couldn't handle it, too much jitter. However it has no issues with full HD videos. Even at 24 Hz refresh rate I did not noticed much mouse or keyboard lag for my usage.

Cons: As another reviewer has stated here Microsoft June CPU Microcode kb3064209 will crash your O.S. Also Since the lunatics at MS decided to add the above said June Microcode to Windows 10 RTM it will not upgrade. Windows 10 Upgrade will fail with the following code and error.
0xC1900101 - 0x20017
The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation

but thanks to internet there is workaround. By no means this is Gigabyte' problem, this is between Intel and Microsoft.

The Projector is of no use for me because of the awful WVGA (864 x 480) resolution. Initially I couldn't get it to display above 864*480 even on a 24 inch monitor, after few mins of messing around the settings I found that it was set to duplicate the display between projector and external monitor. This can be correct by either setting it to extended display or only external monitor. The projector is internally wired to the Brix you do not need to connect the provided HDMI loop cable to get the projector to display. Projector has one HDMI input & a separate power switch. The projector has a cooling fan and it is noisy.

Other Thoughts: I have not tried any games on this. Other than the projector I really liked this. This also comes with WiFi and Bluetooth card. It needs 204 pin SODIMM 1.35v 1333 or 1600 MHz memory and msata SSD. This will not accept any 2.5 HDD internally
