Great Notebook
- Pros: Easy to set up, very strait forward. Everything pretty much just works right out of the box after a short install. Runs fairly cool and have had zero problems with the hardware so far. (Writing this review on it right now)
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: 4 Gb (2x2) Ocz DDR2 667MHz Ram, 320 GB WD HD, T9300 2.5 GHz CPU, vista 64 bit. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to either do this project for fun or to save the money...I did it for both.
Great laptop for an amazing price
- Pros: Very good if your looking to to mix and match to your own customization. The price is excellent for this laptop and gives you room in your wallet to get a high end cpu ram and HD.
- Cons: Quality of sound on the speakers is less than average but nothing a pair of headphones wont fix.
- Other Thoughts: Alright well i decided to throw in a intel duo core T5700 4 gigs of OCZ ram and a hitachi 5400 rpm 120gig Hard drive with windows 7 installed. So far no problems and everything was pretty easy to install. I did however have a problem removing the cover for the CPU and heatsink. It was a pain!! With a little patience i managed to get it off and back on with mostly little problems. The laptop is a great buy from OCZ if you know what your doing
- Pros: superb customization options, easy to put together, great display, sleek black beauty....
- Cons: Rebates rebates rebates, long wait, but I'm patient.
- Other Thoughts: Hope you dont mind waiting for rebates, but thats no reason to take off an egg.
I had no idea what i wanted in a laptop, although i knew i wanted to pick and choose all the components myself, I did a lot of research, and this puter allowed me to open it up and play around. That said I was surprised how easy it was to assemble. I had my tech guy there just in case but he just ended up drinking all my gin.
p.s. I could have easily spend close to three grand from Aware or D holes, but i didn't, and I am incredibly happy with my choice
