5 out of 5 eggsMakes a great XBMC/Kodi box

Pros: Absolute perfect design for OpenElec Media (Kodi/XBMC) Center. Remote well designed for this application. Streams 1080 smoothly. Boots quickly off of USB stick. Only configuration to get it up and running optimally was to increase video memory in BIOS to 512 meg as recomended. Fan is almost silent (but is audible if you are really picky).

Cons: CPU runs a little hot (around 140). It locked up on me one time & couldn't get it going until I removed & reseated memory. Has run flawlessly since then. In Lumbutu the wifi was flakey. Wifi has performed well under OpenElec.

Other Thoughts: Product has basicly outperformed expectations. This is a low powered (in all ways) unit that is designed for media center applications (though it would be a good choice for other low requirement applications). If you understand that this is computer with limited processing power and don't ask it to do more than it is designed for you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent little HTPC

Pros: Comes with a lot of little things you would normally have to buy separately - a USB wireless adapter, an infrared receiver, a MCE remote.

Cons: Doesn't come with hard drive or RAM.

Other Thoughts: I am booting from a USB stick because I picked this unit up on sale for $80 and I couldn't bring myself to spend almost that much just for an mSATA drive. I am running openelec via the USB2 port and it is PLENTY fast and responsive. An amazing value when compared to rPI or Cubox which are around the same price but MUCH less powerful than the E-450 APU in this thing

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little computer

Pros: Low power, compact, cheap, but incredibly elegant, silent and powerful enough to handle many different tasks. Slightly taller than an apple TV2 has everything you need in a computer in spite of the small form factor. I used this computer to build a mythtv back-end server and it runs flawlessly. I thought I pushed the limits when streaming an HD movie while recording 2 other HD movies from my HDHomerun prime but it performed the task without any problems and exceeded my expectations. I am really pleased with the performance.

Cons: None really, from my perspective

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect XBMC device

Pros: -Very small
-Just powerful enough to run Win 7 and XBMC smootly (including 1080P MKVs, etc...)
-Complete HTPC for very low price.
-Good BIOS; you can configure FAN speeds to fit temp/noise
-Very fast when including a mSATA ssd
-Can assign up to 2GB to VGA.

Cons: RAM compatibility:
Be VERY careful when choosing RAM for this because it is very sensitive to memory models.
From Zotac web site, the RAM chart is out of date and there aren't findable 4GB RAM in it.
I tried Corsair but had a lot of weird booting issues.
So I ordered KVR1333D3S9/4G (they only listed the 2GB model) and it works perfectly. So I receommend this specific one for 4GB RAM

Other Thoughts: I used support from their forum and also from ticket system.
Their support is good (not as fast that I would like but effective)

4 out of 5 eggsNice for low power workstation

Pros: tiny
low power
well supported hardware under Linux

Cons: usb wifi adapter is really buggy

Other Thoughts: I bought this to use as a low power workstation and so far it has run beautifully with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I added a 120G mSSD card and an 8G SO-DIMM. Zotac says the max supported memory is 4G but it will support an 8G module with no problem. The only issue I;ve has is the included USB wireless adapter that uses a Realtek chipset. It drops connection occasionally and suspend/resume causes issues. I've replaced it with a $10 adapter that has an Atheros chipset and works much better.

5 out of 5 eggsGood HTPC Box

Pros: Extremely Small
M-Sata SSD
Built in IR receiver
Remote Control
Easy to setup

Cons: Remote Control Non-Standard layout
No Screws to secure M-Satta

Other Thoughts: This is a very nice PC, my second Zotac. Booted from flash drive with messing with the bios. Exacted dirvers to flash and install of drivers went smoothly.
Super fast with M-Sata SSD drive. Note M-sata only with this box. Boot time was under 20 seconds. Using this box with XMC as HTPC. It has built in IR so no usb IR is needed, but is incluced if you want to place PC out of sight, Vesa mount bracket included to mount to back of TV. I dont like the remote. Does not have the standard layout for keys, although
all the keys are there. Key are small, and not good for fat finger guys. However this remote works with MCE remote in XBMC. The Zotac remote will remain in my bottom drawer. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy the similar model with no remote and buy a cheap MCE remote and save a few dollars.
No screw was in the box to secure the M-sata to the motherboard. I was a fairly large collection of screws, but none fit. Had to go to local pc shop to get one. Screw is about the same as used in laptop Wifi Card.

Still giving five stars since the pc is excellent in every respect except for the remote control.
