2 out of 5 eggsGood, as long as it works.

Pros: Wow.! I mean WOW!! nice little machine. Install Ubuntu, up and running out of the box!
Booted in 9 secs on Kingstn SSD 130gb. i never had a computer that that fast before..

Cons: Stop working 5 days after installation. Looked like the power button was now working. I RAM it without hassle, thank to newegg.

Other Thoughts: If yours last, enjoy it !

4 out of 5 eggsZotac Nano ID_64 i5

Pros: very nice, very fast. easy to work on. 4x USB3.0 and 1 internal SATAIII that allows 2 msata raid0/1 and 1 esata. Very glad I chose to buy it.

Cons: only the USB 3.0 is able to support external DVDROM
the usb 2.0 ports only work occasionally for this, even if they are set to charge mode.
Card reader is extremely slow, this flaw tarnishes the entire system. Without testing a second or more similar systems though, these problems might be only this machine.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Tiny Desktop Workstation

Pros: I was looking for a tiny desktop workstation without an optical drive, and it was between one of the Zotac models and a Mac Mini. I did not like the way Macs interacted with Windows computers on a network, so I picked this Zotac system.

I own an AMD version of this mini PC (which is used as an HTPC), and it's good too, but I wanted something with a bit more CPU power, and this Intel model delivers. The CPU is technically a mobile CPU, but it does everything I need and it does it quickly. I put 8 gigs of memory and a 500 gig hybrid drive in it, and I am pleased with the results. I use this system for general internet usage, audio and video editing (including a lot of video conversion via Handbrake), and graphic design work.

I love that I can mount it to the back of a monitor if need be. It comes with an adapter that allows you to use two mSata drives at once. This is one of the few mini PCs I could find that has a DisplayPort.

This is a great option if you are looking for a small workstation and you do not need an optical drive.

Cons: The fan is sometimes noisy, especially when there is a load on the CPU. When there is other noise in the room, like the TV, it's not a problem, but when the room is otherwise quiet, it can be a little annoying.

The system supports a maximum of 8 gigs of RAM, which might not be enough for some users.

It's not as stylish as some other mini PCs I have seen.

Occasionally, the top and bottom of my screen will show a line of garbled pixels, which seems like a graphic driver glitch.

Other Thoughts: This is a great option for a user looking for a tiny PC. It allows you to pick your own type of storage drive, memory and monitor, which is why I bought it. However, an all-in-one PC might be a better value for some users, depending on your hardware needs.

5 out of 5 eggsi like them

Pros: I now own 3 of these, i work IT in a warehouse and slowly upgrading from P4 slim dell workstations. i decided to try one of these out to just display powerpoints on a tv all day. and was surprised by the power of it. (i had ordered an atom version a few weeks prior and it was just awful.) the cpu is decent, the wireless is decent, hdmi out, dvi out, usb 3, sd card, bluetooth, and it mounts to the back of the monitors and doesn't get clutter everywhere, an IT dream machine. only downfall i can see is when this thing goes, there is no repair, only ram and hdd can swap. MAYBE the wireless card, but i didn't see it, nor am i using it. i love how small they are, i didn't notice the fan noise at all, but again, factory setting here. all in all, would recommend to people for out of the way installs and just tiny things needed, not sure how well it would work as htpc as it is onboard graphics, didn't have anything to test that with.

Cons: faster cpu? 1 more ram slot? i mean, nitpicking to the bone here i think it is great.

3 out of 5 eggsGood box, but overpriced and noisy

Pros: A lot of stuff packed into a small package. Lots of ports, built in IR receiver, pretty decent CPU. Good build quality.

Cons: Expensive for what you get (compared to other Zotac mini-PCs), although I guess you're paying for its small size. Unfortunately, they didn't have a similarly specced box outside of the nano line.

The deal breaker for me was that the fan was just too noisy. I got it as an HTPC and the fan would just blare out for no reason. Not cool if you want to be watching movies or shows in the same room as this thing. It was much louder than an older zbox model I have from Zotac, so I had to return it and go back to that.
