2 out of 5 eggsMemory

Pros: small

Cons: Does NOT do DDR3 1066/1333

Other Thoughts: Good for it's size but be aware of it's limitations. Fan on CPU/GPU could be a problem down the road.

3 out of 5 eggsA bit let down in quality

Pros: Small form factor makes it easy to hide and doesn't stand out. Highly efficient components including the on board DC inverter means it runs at lower power than the same board would with a standard ATX power supply. Fairly quiet, at idle and load the system is fairly quiet. At full load the fan is spinning fast and you will notice it, but tucked away somewhere it is not an issue.

Cons: Build quality is a let down. The construction of the case is not really the most user friendly, some rough edges and not much thought went into securing things properly. I wasn't expecting Lian Li craftsmanship but wanted more than I received. Fan also died after about a week of fairly light loads, really was just testing the software without any daily usage. As I couldn't replace the fan myself under warranty I had to send the whole unit back. Still don't have my replacement.

Other Thoughts: Surprisingly potent XBMC machine, paired with OpenElec it is virtually plug and play. I had minor issues getting the audio to work properly with my Denon receiver and 5.1 set up, but was no more hassle than I could manage, the OpenElec crew had several handy guides. I was very happy with the project until the fan died, but provided my replacement is problem free I would still recommend this system. Not perfect, but its the cheapest low power, low noise, and low profile media center solution you can find.

3 out of 5 eggsAlmost a winner

Pros: Super tiny, low power, and discrete chassis.

Cons: 1. You get two mini PCIe slots on the bottom of the motherboard. You CAN NOT use an mSATA SSD in either of these. Giada says that there is a special "option" to get an mSATA slot. There is no add-on that they can send to you or something you can buy on NewEgg. Giada doesn't actually make these systems. They get them from an OEM manufacturer. So either you buy a slow netbook style mini PCIe SSD or you can get a 2.5" HD.
2. This system comes with an external 12v power supply that goes directly into the motherboard. To add a standard 2.5" HD you need a special 5v cable that comes off of the motherboard. It is not a standard 4pin molex connector. They also don't include the cable with your purchase. Sooooo you're kind of out of luck unless you go with a slower mini PCIe card.
