Runs all media programs flawlessly. I installed KODI on this and it runs perfect! using my media server, http hosted files! ftp, you name it! It works perfect. Anonymous 9/23/2015 12:28:45 AM Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 2/5IMO, don't buy but usable if u own This review is from: MINIX NEO-Z64W Black Mini PC Windows 8.1 Edition Pros: -The z64W version runs a 32-bit x86 OS that includes a Windows product key that is upgradable to Windows 10 Home. -attractive small form factor while still solid enough to support cables without tipping over -Fanless design (pro) quiet operation (con) product overheats -Ethernet port (wired connection) -USB ports (x2) for keyboard/mouse devices -I disable the WiFi and Bluetooth Cons: -limited, under performing product for streaming and more expensive than new Apple TV 4th generation -I was unable to smoothly streaming popular media from paid content provider HBO NOW with this device using Windows 10 Professional OS (there wasn't enough CPU for smooth playback with any of the 3 main browsers). Netflix streaming works but heat build up causes the video quality to suffer when binge watching -The downside of Windows upgrade is Windows 10 drops Windows Media Center which I preferred for live TV playback, DVR capability , and the codecs for some DVD playback -Unable to dual boot x86 OS with Android OS because of limited BIOS, also limited storage space. With the standard OS there is little space for anything else -My z64 Windows 10 experience was limited to single operations and wasn't able to multitask like I am with a desktop due to under performance/ limitation of hardware -Unable to achieve fully functional 64-bit computing with Windows OS because of BIOS? according to Minix forum there is audio issues, driver issues. The z64W version is a 32-bit OS -Unable to upgrade or expand hardware, I understand the static design of hardware at this price point and form factor but the product has limited performance -IMO, Minix is a limited vendor. I would not expect active support specific to this product. Most of the support with be the end user searching through forums if relating directly to Minix Other Thoughts: -IMO, don't buy this product. If u are searching for a PC, invest in a product that has hardware that can be upgraded or has a larger storage device and at least 4 gigs of memory. If u are looking for a media streaming device, wait a month and try the new Apple TV 4th generation device at a lower price point -If u own this device, it is usable, I would recommend staying at windows 8.1 for Windows Media Center -Major differences between the z64W and z64A versions is the loaded BIOS. The hardware works with either BIOS but not concurrently so the loaded BIOS limits the OS to either the 32-bit x86 OS (Windows) or the 64-bit Andriod OS. -I don't recommend changing this device to the z64A (Android version) but if so, make sure to backup the Windows product key Did you find this review helpful?
