N/A 1/18/2013 2:45:13 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 3/5Differences in the same i1000a-i5B1 systems Pros: Small compact and has all the ports you could ask for in a computer. Cons: I purchased this system after having another one for 6 moths and loving it. This system showed up with several issues. First issue is that it states 4GB of RAM but only came with a single 2GB module. Newegg sent me a 2GB module to remedy this issue. The next issue was the system intermittently won't power up due to what I believe is a faulty system board. A third issue is that the CPU fan bearings are very loud and needs to be replaced. Other Thoughts: Minor issues - 1 - The "Specifications" tab on Newegg states the system is an Intel i5 2.7Ghz but I received an Intel i5 2.9Ghz. That was a nice surprise! 2 - The newer system didn't come with the SD card reader and 3rd USB port on the front panel like my previous unit did. Newegg still has the same pictures as before so this might make some people unhappy if they are looking for the extra USB port. 3 - The video chipset is slower on the newer system according to the Windows 7 performance analyzer. 4 - The drivers CD doesn't have a label on it and contains different video drivers than my previous system. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. AC 12/27/2012 6:26:33 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 4/5Lots of horsepower in a tiny box. Pros: This computer is the best thing since sliced bread! It has everything from USB 3.0, eSATA, wifi, HDMI and everything in between. What makes this little package best of class it the full Intel desktop i5 processor and not the mobile processor most companies like to use. Cons: The only con I would say is the video graphics are middle of the road. This is perfectly fine for 99% of everyone out there from kids to business people. The only drawback is the extreme gamers won't be happy because of it. Other Thoughts: I bought an Intel 180GB 520 Series SSD drive for it. It should come with a single 4GB RAM module but my second unit didn't. I am working with NewEgg to remedy this issue. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?
