4 out of 5 eggsNice device - don't use Garmin's Web Updater!

Pros: Excellent navigation. Very, very good screen and touch response.

Cons: Difficult to to update. Garmin has not posted separately downloadable updates; they instead make you use their Web Updater, which turned my unit into a paperweight ("System Software Not Found!").

5 out of 5 eggsAs expected from Garmin

Pros: Well ofcourse I didnt get lost and it did always drive me according to my selection (shortest or fastest), it has a new version of the maps and avoided all blocked or closed roads while my dads GPS took us there!! Speaking street name feature was alot more usefull than I thought, another thing I like is that it alerts me couple of times before the turn while other GPS trademarks only warns once or twice and sometimes you dont have enough time to make the turn (especially on highways), I used it in my trip to Kansas and Saint Louis and it did a great job ... I would definitly recommend it to a friend

Cons: - NONE, or wait a second.. the US voice was like a Sargent commanding his soldiers .. I really mean it, I had to change the voice to British since the Brit was alot more Kinder ...lol

Other Thoughts: Just change the US voice to a better less commanding one

5 out of 5 eggsGarmin Nuvi 260

Pros: First GPS I owned and tried. Worked perfectly and easily right out of the box. Clear display and voice prompts. Finds satellite quickly and recalculates quickly if you go off course.

Cons: Took a long time to update map via PC.

Other Thoughts: Newegg reduced the price (St Pats Special) the day after I ordered it. Called and was given price difference credit. Took about 2 minutes.

1 out of 5 eggswhat a lemon...

Pros: big screen, pock-size

Cons: CAN'T EVEN SYNC to get signal, Newegg people wouldn't help me to replace it, they told me to call Garmin without realizing they gave me the wrong hours of operations...so i called no one answered as expected.

Other Thoughts: I don't write reviews very often. But on this particular item I think all of purchasers need to be aware of the situation that this might be a lemon product!!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Text-To-Speech, lots of POIs, easy to use, and it's a Garmin. Price is great! MicroSD slot.

Cons: Slow upon initial startup while acquiring satellites.

Other Thoughts: Great low cost GPS. All the features you need.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little Garmin!

Pros: This is a nice little Garmin. I do some traveling out of state, but I turned this on around my home area to see how it communicates turns, freeway split offs, finding restaurants and gas stations, and so on. It was dead on and I particularly liked the fact that it tells you the name of the street or highway you're to turn on. The screen is a good size and is clear and crisp. Nice little unit.

Cons: The only con was the location on the back where the power cord plugs in. It's a bit awkward to clip into the dash holder and the wire is at a funny angle. Once I clip it in, I wrap the cord around the stand and down the dash. It would be better if it plugged into the bottom edge. Also, my old Garmin had the volume control on the side and could be turned down or up while driving. On this one, you have to go into the menu to access the volumn then change it on the touch screen and shouldn't be done while driving.

Other Thoughts: Overall a nice little Garmin. My husband keeps trying to abscound with it so I'll have to pick one up for him.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very sturdy machine. Case is good at protecting it, and the stand for the windshield is easy to use and holds it on there very well. It gives good clear directions, re-calculates when you go off course, and so far has not let me down.

Cons: There was one REALLY cloudy day out, that caused the garmin to have trouble picking up satellites. The main issue with this, is that we were headed to somewhere we hadn't been before, and it didn't start working til we got there. Obviously tho you can't expect the device to always be spot on, cause it works the rest of the 99% in my experience, but it sucked...

Other Thoughts: Bought it when it was on sale for $140ish. Very good buy, glad I got it. I actually bought it as a gift for my Dad, and I'll be buying myself one before long. With a bit more shopping I'm sure you can find a bigger one and a later model, but for the time when I got it, it was deff worth the buy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Just a great little unit. I have not used a GPS before but this was easy to pickup and use. Even after the novelty wore off I really appreciated how well this thing works, the touch screen is quick to respond, it quickly brings up address suggestions before you finish typing, it calculates your route quickly and gets you to where you need to go!

Cons: It doesn't scratch my back or tell me how much it loves me, but that's what a girl friend is for i guess.

Other Thoughts: I used to pay $30 for a new street directory about every 6 months. In my work truck they get beaten up pretty quickly. If i can look after this unit I can see it lasting for years, it will pay for its self in about a year and a half.
