The rugged and waterproof Garmin Rino 120 combines the power of GPS navigation with the two-way FRS/GMRS radio to bring you an indispensable outdoor tool. Its four-level grayscale display is clear and easy-to-read, even in sunlight, and features an LED backlight for dark conditions. The 7.6 oz. unit features a molded grip and a sturdy case, and runs up to 15 hours on a set of 3 AA batteries. When you get an incoming radio call, the vibrating alert lets you know, and your conversations stay private with voice scrambler security.

The Rino lets you store up to 500 favorites, 20 routes, and 20 saved tracks for later use. Its WAAS-enabled receiver locates your position to within 10 feet. The unit comes pre-loaded with the North America Basemap. You can connect the unit to your computer, and download additional waypoints, maps, and marine charts to the unit’s internal memory. You can also transfer tracks and waypoints to your computer and use them again later. The Rino 120 is a great choice to keep you on track and in touch whether you’re hiking, hunting, or fishing!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome hand held!

Pros: Lots and too many to list

Cons: I was let down that I could connect it to my PC but no software was included.

Other Thoughts: I contacted Garmin's support for assistance in choosing software. Once I received their email I realized they reccommended their least expensive software because it would do everything I asked it to. I was very happy with their support team as well.

Comments: One of the best handheld GPSes you can get. We have used it a lot and has never let us down. Geocaching it ussual gets us right by the cache. It is also one of the GPSes we use to set up the Neveda Trophie. Excellent GPS. One of the cool featuers is if you and ur buddy has one, you can see where ur buddy is. Useful when trying to keep track of each other. The radio works well also. Can't go wrong with this GPS.
