Pros: I bought this unit because my job requires me to make several stops (6-10) in a given day. This was the most affordable unit that allowed trip optimization. Where you input all the stops you need to make, and it can tell you the quickest route through all of them. After using this unit daily for most of the summer I can say that I don't regret the purchase at all.

Cons: The unit isn't always flawless. It has gotten stuck/frozen once or twice. Also, it occasionally will drop a location or two when inputting several (7+) via points.

Other Thoughts: I have dealt with quite a few GPS and Garmin is almost assuredly the best brand out there. Make sure to register the unit and update the maps/firmware when you get it. Additional features like Route Optimization and MP3 playback through your FM radio really make the unit stand out against similarly priced units. This refurb unit was as good as new. It came with everything, and was sealed.

Cons: I use everyday when traveling around or big city. it give me a peace of mine .

Horrible Routing

Pros: It has nice features like playing MP3 files. People here say the FM transmitter is weak. It works fine for me. Maybe their car radios are poor. I have a 2003 with a Alpine head unit.
Its not GREAT though. I hear a little static on occasion but this is not a digital signal and its from a GPS unit! So perfection is NOT going to happen here folks.

The screen is easy to read.

Cons: The routing is horrible. I live in Chicago and it routed me through major roads with many stoplights for a 43 mile trip!!!!!

I just took the highways. If I took the Garmin directions it would have taken me at LEAST 15 minutes longer plus killed my fuel economy!
Also..... I dont see ANYWHERE that there is a free update for the maps. Mine is out of date and the new maps are $99
I paid $129 for the unit!

Other Thoughts: Horrible routing. Thats what this thing is supposed to do the BEST! Over trips longer than 15 miles it doesnt consider highways it seems. All the online trip calculators give much better directions!
