Pros: Easy software layout, Built in anttena- unlike previous models, battery lasts over 4 hours on 30% brightness..this is the only % I have tested this on, blue tooth hands free sounds very clear and loud- even without FM transmitter, Overall just an excellent product, especially for the price NewEgg offers!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Would have liked a case to have been included but for the price I just picked one up at best buy. I would suggest it with the finish it has especially if you take it in and out of the care each time as I do.

Jill Started Stuttering

Pros: The technology blows me away . . . I'm an old guy geek and this is like stopping for directions without stopping . . . a guy's dream. View clarity, accuracy, good windshield mount. Wanna check the accuracy of your speedometer? These babies are dead on accurate.

Cons: After three months of delightful perfect service, Jill has developed a stuttering problem when announcing turns. This came out of no where for no apparent reason; Jill breaks up, words are chopped off, blank air space, in short, most audible turn announcements are now not understandable. Very disappointed for something costing this much.

Other Thoughts: Bought four Garmins at one time - all were presents (one for me).
First firmware upgrade corrected late turn announcements. I was VERY pleased to see (any) firmware correction work - this one did.
One other nit: Tends to say "Stay Left" at major interstate cloverleafs EVEN when an immediate RIGHT is coming next, and FAST! Try this in traffic a few times and you'll think Jill is hung over from a late night drunk.
By the way, I do think Jill is sweet on me. Hey, it gets lonely on long drives . . . for both of us!

Pros: I purchased this device because it has an FM transmitter so I can use its MP3 features and listen to music on my car speakers. Free Traffic Alert (included in the package price) it's very nice, especially if you driving in a big city and want to avoid traffic jams. Screen is nice and clear, easy to get used to and navigate. POI are abundant and easy to find. Easy to navigate once you get to know your device.

Cons: The FM transmitter (for listening to your MP3 songs on the car audio system) is not very useful because in most cities all frequencies are taken and it is difficult to tune to an other frequency when you drive.
Talking on the cell phone via the Bluetooth feature is a challenge because the GPS's microphone will pick up any background noise, making the call hard to understand.

Other Thoughts: If you want to buy a GPS, buy it for its GPS features and not for other gadgets. It will cost you much less.
I bought a mounting attachment that hooks onto the air vents, because I like to have my view unobstructed. It works just PERFECT.
As far as taking the device when traveling oversees, not all maps are detailed extensively, so you can not use them everywhere in EU, although the countries I have visited have Garmin local reps that sell detailed local maps.
