5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

Pros: It is very reliable, sound is excellent, and has an external SD card slot for more space for larger maps.

The FM-Transmitter is handy for traffic backups.

Great Tech support too! And there are lots of little features such as time format, icon type, voice type, languages, etc.

The fuel economy thing is amazing! I love it. It helps you figure out how to maximize your trip for best cost.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have to travel for John Deere, sometimes going to Canada. This thing has never let me down, where my cell phone has, because it is out of tower range.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the Job (when kept plugged in)

Pros: Fast
Never Freezes
Counts down 60 seconds and shuts off if automatically when you turn off the car (if that turns off the power outlet)

Cons: Heavy (causes windshield mount to fall often, get the beanbag kind instead)
Bluetooth phone microphone works poorly and cackles, speaker works fine, address book import and voice dial depend on phone had mixed results over the years.
No Lane Assist

Other Thoughts: Battery stopped working for more than 10-15 minutes after about a year, but I always used it plugged in anyway.

Mine died today (no apparent damage, won't power on) after 3 years, 2 months.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat upgrade

Pros: lots of great features like the eco test and fuel economy, knows what im typing before i get halfway done in most cases

Cons: speed zones are not always correct so if your in an area you dont know watch out or you'll get a decent sized speeding ticket like me

2 out of 5 eggsOk for Price

Pros: Price. It "works".

Cons: Works is in quotes for a few reasons. Since this is a refurb the maps are woefully out of date, and sometimes just plain wrong, I don't think that house over there actually has a Quiznos, Garmin. The traffic feature is worse than useless. It runs of an FM signal that is 10-15 minutes behind and then takes another 10-15 to get the unit. Half an hour behind on traffic is of no use to me. This useless "feature" is powered by annoying advertisements.

tldr: not worth it, get a newer unit with more features or just use your phone. Garmin will be dead in 3 years anyway.

Other Thoughts: Summary: Not worth it, get a newer unit with more features or just use your phone. Garmin will be dead in 3 years anyway.

4 out of 5 eggsGarmin 4.3

Pros: My first gps and I love it!! Easy to use and the 4.3" screen is a plus.

Cons: Battery don't last long as I thought but that what the car charger is for.

Other Thoughts: I actually use the POI more than I thought I would be. It a nice thing to try out new places.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Enough to Steal

Pros: It worked without any problems! It was apparently good enough for a homeless person to break into my trunk for in downtown Detroit.
Live traffic feed was a little hard to understand at first, and never really told where the congestion was - only that there would be some ahead.

Cons: Slow in highly populated areas (such as downtown Detroit). Sometimes would lose satellite connection for no reason at all and needed a reboot to find it again.

Other Thoughts: I hate the homeless. I loved my Garmin!

2 out of 5 eggsSo-so

Pros: Will get you there.

Cons: Won't always take the best route; poor arrival estimation time; traffic is slow to update and not always accurate. Talks too much. Poor UI (for example, you have to back out of the map view to get to volume).

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. Free traffic is nice, but not reliable AT ALL. It often tries to take me on back roads when the highways are clear and sometimes gives odd directions (like "stay right" when there is no fork). My three-year old Magellan GPS with no TTS and old maps is more reliable.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: -Good price at around 100 bones
-Get's you to your destination if you know what you are doing.

Cons: -Occasional bad routing: sometimes the unit will send you on bizarre roads when other routes are obviously better.
-The free traffic is terrible, at least for the Boston area.

Other Thoughts: A good purchase if looking for a GPS around 100 bucks. If the unit didn't have the fastest time routing bugs I would have awarded 4 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggsGood GPS

Pros: Good little device. Gets me from point A to point B. It always seems to pickup a signal even in bottom floor parcking decks. Its easy to use and the free update gets you the latest maps. I have had no issues with it. Comes with the FM receiver for traffic monitoring.

Cons: Has a hard time telling when i should turn. If you come to a long merg lane it will tell you to get over then at the last second go to Exit B instead of Exit A even though it said to get off on Exit A to get you into the merg lane. So you have to be on your toes.

Other Thoughts: Nice product for what you pay for. i would buy it again.
