5 out of 5 eggsGarmin 705

Pros: Great unit. Nice feedback of time, distance, speed, cadence, heartbeat.
Garmin Connect is a great tool.
Using MapMyRide and outputting in .tcx is useful in unknown areas to pre-plan rides.

Cons: Expensive. Base maps are HORRIBLE. You must plan to spend more $ to get a full map.
Waypoints are not user freindly like other Garmin devices.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am very pleased and would recommend this unit.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: Unit works well. Great features, with highly customizable display. Almost Water Proof (Highly Water resistant). Ability to load detailed maps, turn-by-turn directions, down-loadable to the computer.

Most advanced cycle computer you can buy.
-Heart Rate
-Avg Spd
-Max Spd
- Cadence
- AVG Cadence
- Plus more....

Cons: Bike mount could be better (not as secure as I would like). View angle of screen is not always that great. GPS can be off by a few feet (apparently normal for GPS units).
Base map on the unit sucks. If you are buying to get directions while riding, you will need to buy one of the Garmin maps.

Other Thoughts: Great deal from new egg. Bought the refurb unit for $350. It was the bundle with Cad and HR. Brand new this would be at least $550-700. Unit was in perfect condition, and looks new with all materials. Very happy with the product and new egg.....

4 out of 5 eggsI love my NewEgg

Pros: -NewEgg, only place to buy anything gadget.

One of the best prices even for a refurb/recert, especially with NewEgg backing up the order. I was uncertain what all came in the box, check the NewEgg "Part #" and compare with the Garmin SKU # on their website--this is the HRM/Cadence/Computer bundle, although NewEgg cust. service reps did not know for sure.

Cons: Garmin is a PITA to be honest. I've used other Edge GPSes (Edge 305) before and know their gear and software-and I take off one egg for all the annoyances they give. Nice product but you need to research and know what you are doing to not get frustrated.

LOTS of reviews of these devices that are very in depth on the internet.

Other Thoughts: Great gadget. Great price. Same 'ol great NewEgg price and service.
