Pros: If you've used Garmin before, you won't have problems with this one.
IT never loses satellite lock unless you near a military micro-wave station. LOL

Added a Micro-SD. No muss, no fuss.

Cons: I wish it it would accept DMS Points of Interest instead of decimal. Not a huge deal breaker, but it would be nice not to have to depend on 3rd party stuff to convert.

Other Thoughts: Get the 24k maps for your region. It's worth it.

So far Nicads have lasted the longest. I got a full 10 hours of data collection on one charge.

Fairly accurate. I have been consistent 3-6 feet off of published geodetic points. Considering it's a pocket handheld.....not bad.

Don't for get to calibrate for elevation if vertical accuracy is important to you.

Pros: Never dropped signal yet on Hikes where other hikers GPS lost signal. Compass is highly sensitive and works great. Used it for geocaching and put me right within 5ft of the cache. You can see the screen during the daytime quite well compared to other GPS.

Cons: No issues with the unit itself, but Garmin documentation is not great. But there are a lot of GPS enthusiasts on the web and there are a lot of blogs that helped me figure out things like getting data onto the SD card (hint: mimic the GPS file structure than put things on the card).

Other Thoughts: So far I have used it for two Hikes. The Topos had detailed coverage of the first place I went and none of the second. The second was of a 9mi li greenbelt hike from Smithtown landing GC to sunken meadow and back which involved woods, public roads, beach, and wetlands.

Don't let the squeaking issue other reviews on some other sites have mentioned deter you. I don't notice it and this GPS seems pretty well built so I don't see any issue with the product integrity.

Pros: I get signal almost anywhere i go. I was in a Wal Mart with it and it still got signal even through the metal roof. I can load all my Geocaches and all my tracks into it right through there BaseCamp software and i can even manage all of them through that software as well.

Cons: The case is squeaky when you push the power button but it is still water proof that is all i care about.

Other Thoughts: I wish it came with some screen protectors i don't want to damage the screen and i cant see any online that are made for it all i can find is the ones you cut to fit. Zagg needs to get the ball rolling and make some for it.
