1 out of 5 eggsPoor battery

Pros: It is an OK unit but read the Cons comment

Cons: This Garmin does not hold a full charge! Experimented three attempts to charge the Garmin fully, by charging overnight, but the battery indicator does not show full charge. When I first got the Garmin in November 2011, I thought it was weird that a NEW Garmin would run low on battery after only about 1 hour of use.

Garmin Support, please take note that you will need to fix the issue with a battery Recall.

I have had own previous four Garmins. They are not as sensitive as the TomTom in searching for Satellite signals but this model isn't too bad afterall.

4 out of 5 eggsno pin/password lock

Pros: It's okay. but think the nuvi 205 might've been better. As an early post stated, it sometimes does some glitch crazy rerouting.. i've only used it once so far so hard to say if it's really great but so far it's gotten me from point A to B.

Cons: No password lock function. I bought this because some F**KER broke my car window and broke my glove compartment and stole my nuvi 205.. That one had a password lock on it so the guy pretty much stole a brick.. this one doesn't seem to have an option to lock it so if this on gets stolen, i hope not, the thief will be able to make use of it.. That's the only con i really have so far.

4 out of 5 eggsNice value GPS

Pros: Some nice bonus features found on higher price units like lane assist and speed notification. Fast satelite acquisition.

Cons: It's gotten off track on serveral trips while driving and has done some crazy re-routing until it gets a lock on the correct location again. I ran it next to my older Garmin 5XX GPS, which doesn't do this. Hopefully it will be fixed in a firmware upgrade (currently has the latest firmware). I suspect it has something to do with the stability of the fast acquistion. It also seemed to do it less when it had a very clear path to the sky even though when I sit it on the center counsel it always showed at least 4 bars of signal strength. Lastly battery life is short and you might get 2 hours between charges if the display brightness is set to 30% or less.

Other Thoughts: Currently the unit gets more like a 3.5 rating but if Garmin fixes the routing stability issue I would give it 4.5 stars.

4 out of 5 eggsNice unit

Pros: Purchased this for my brother. Nice size unit, mounts easily and holds on tight.

Cons: Touch-screen can sometimes be kind of iffy, but that's very common with GPS units.

Other Thoughts: Great bang for the buck!
