Pros: It turns on.

Cons: I purchase this GPS for a trip I was taking but end up with no GPS on the trip because I had to RMA it the first week I got it. Comes with lifetime map updates but the software provided can't find the device when its connected to check for map updates or firmware updates.

All my computers show it as connected. So after 5 days of calling and talking to Magellan I sent it back to Magellan for RMA and waited 12 days for a replacement. When the new one they sent back arrived the software still couldn't find the device so again I cannot check for map updates or firmware updates. I try connecting to 3 different computers I own and one laptop, 3 with Windows 7 Pro and one with XP Pro.

Also when I installed an additional memory card in the slot it just fell deep into the GPS's body and I had to open the case to get it out. This happened on the replacement they sent me. I ended up going out and buying a Garman GPS and I've had no troubles with it at all. The Magellan has pretty much just sat in my drawer since I purchased it. I do not recommend this GPS at all.

Other Thoughts: Just to let you know battery life is horrible. You're lucky if you can use it for 2 hours with a full charge. And when you put it in the window cradle supplied you can't connect the car charger. This is no reflection on Newegg, they are great as usual.

The price I got it for well I should have known there were problems with this model.

Pros: It sticks to the windshield OK, and the screen is large enough.

Cons: I have used this on two trips. It is very user UNfriendly. Difficult to follow the instructions, Difficult to change screens. Almost impossible to switch screens and drive. Not capable of finding rest areas without navigating through three or four screens. Very slow switching screens.

Not a pleasant experience. I owned a Magellan Meridian Gold GPS and it had a learning curve, but nothing as slow and complicated as this product.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, I am two days past the 30 day return

Pros: Great GPS really love it, does what it is suppose to plus lifetime traffic/map updates!

Cons: None at all

Pros: It seems to work great for me. I haven't tried updating the Maps yet but maybe this number will help the other guy out

Cons: It isn't too difficult to find help. I looked around and found the number for their tech help. They seem to like E-mail and I prefer to talk to a real person . So far not having any real problems. With my eyesight it is a little hard to read that's all

Pros: I bought this device last fall, when my wife and I were going to Europe because I could download European maps into it. It worked very well over there and allowed us to travel around by rental car just like we were natives and knew where we were going and not appear like lost tourists.

Cons: I bought this GPS at Costco for about the same price then as Newegg is offering it. One of the selling points was that it supposedly had lifetime free upgrades of maps on this continent. Now, every time I try to update the maps, Magellan wants a credit card number. I have tried to write to them to protest this bait and switch setup, without success. There just isn't any any way to contact them and get any answer. I will never by another device from them.
