5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPS for the price!

Pros: It's easy to use and the streets are spot-on so far. It has Mexico maps, which are tough to get without paying and will make it useful for the border runs. You get map-sharing and an update for free, but I haven't utilized those yet. It even found a couple of routes that were more efficient than the ones I was used to driving.

Cons: It takes a minute to get a location lock. If it was any smaller it would be cumbersome to use with normal-sized fingers, so people with big (sausage) fingers should not buy this. Also, the USB connector is a little tough to push in and pull out, which is a sticking point with my wife.

Other Thoughts: I find that two hands are needed to effectively mount it on the windshield, so don't try to deploy it unless you are at a stop. I also found that some of the speed limits and gas stations were wrong, but that may be because I haven't updated the map. Even with the issues, I have to give it 5 eggs because you get a lot for your money.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Quick to update, very clear as to which lane to be in on the freeway and when to turn.

Cons: Doesn't have speech output for road names.

Other Thoughts: Awesome deal for 79 bucks, saved me more time and gas than one could imagine in the last 30 days!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPS

Pros: Easy to use. It gives you plenty of time before you need to take action. It's small and easy to travel with, but still large enough to see while driving. It makes fast corrections if you pass a suggested turn to a new route.

Cons: Hmmmm. None

Other Thoughts: Price is great and as always newegg is the Best!

5 out of 5 eggsFast Sat Access, Can Customize, great unit, clever device

Pros: Fast Acquisition of Sats, Small, Loud and easy to understand voice guidance. Can create your own voices, overlays, POIs http://create.tomtom.com/manuals/create-your-own-content/ Be sure to use the MENU items to get free map update, TOOLS then LATEST MAP GUARANTEE. It downloads the Map to your hard drive and then copies it to device.

Cons: I locked up the unit with a map update, but Tech support was VERY helpful, and easy to understand. It took very little time to completely reformat the device and install everything (program, voices, maps, etc.). The webpage had the instructions, but I wanted some human to verify, and the folks were cordial, helpful, and they listened, not just asking a bunch of questions.

This isn't really a CON, it was my mistake and they helped me reload the software and maps.

Other Thoughts: This is a very nice unit. I have a Magellan Roadmate 760, it's very nice, but older technology, a little slower on the satellite acquisition. This unit is small, fast, and can run on the built-in battery for a few hours before needing recharge.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT Little GPS!

Pros: Compact, Picks up Satellites lighting fast, great user interface, more features than anyone could ask for at this price point. Bought this as a gift for a 50yo woman who mastered the little thing in a few days!

Cons: Like others have said, the plug can be a PITA to remove...really. The way the unit attaches to the windshield bracket can be a challenge until you get used to it, you have to make sure the little metal clips snap into place. Neither of these issues should take away from buying it though.

Oh, make sure you TWIST the ring on the bracket to get the suction cup to stick!

Other Thoughts: I have had quite a few portable GPS units over the years plus a few OEM units and a high end Kenwood unit custom installed in my Acura....and this one really is fun to use. Like any GPS, you have to get used to the user interface and this one has a short learning curve to get up and running. It guides you through the initial setup of setting up your HOME location and you're ready to use it. The lighter cord is nice and long so you can mount it to the left side of the driver and run the wire UNDER the steering column and up the door seal for a nice clean look with no wires hanging around. Paid $80 with Free shipping and a Free Carrying case. Ordered it on Thursday morning, ad it Friday afternoon! (NJ) WOW Newegg!

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: The free map corrections and updated maps are great. You can find most popular voices on-line. The satellite signal detection took about 1-10min when I first got it. After the free update takes no more than 30seconds.

Cons: GPS will not get louder than my music. Map update did not include a new toll bridge that is over a year old. Minus one egg for that.

Other Thoughts: Got it on black friday for $50 so no real complaints.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPS

Pros: Does a fantastic job of coming up with routes. Not perfect all the time, but no GPS is, so I don't hold that against it. It generally gives me the route a local would advise me to take, rather than simply the shortest route possible.

Size is great, very easy to take with you in a pocket. The touch screen is very responsive.

Cons: Occasionally wants to go the hard way. The only time you'd notice is if you know to go another way, though, and once you start on your preferred route, it generally switches over and gives proper directions.

The holder for this is somewhat annoying. It's nice and compact, and it won't fall off the windshield, but clipping in the GPS is consistently difficult with one hand. Also, plugging in the charger is hard when the unit is in the holder because of the way the receptor is recessed on the bottom of the unit. Not a huge deal, but a minor annoyance. Best to get all that set up before you start driving.

Other Thoughts: I was worried about the satellite pick-up time, but it's not been a problem anywhere but New York City, where I think the skyscrapers made it hard to pick up a signal. Also, my previous GPS was a very low-end version of a poor brand, so my expectations coming in were pretty low and I have only that to compare this one to.

5 out of 5 eggsNice device!

Pros: Easy to understand; Dig the lane assist feature, Clear directions; Quick calculations; Great beginner device with extras; Great value!

Cons: Takes a long time to download when you first do it. Small USB adapter is tough to dislodge from unit. So far so good!

Other Thoughts: My first GPS and it works great! Everything I expected. Newegg was very quick in sending it (one day!-can't beat it!)! Thank You Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Unit at a great price!

Pros: Bought this as a black Friday sale for my parents for Christmas. They know nothing about technology. They love this GPS. They had no problems learning how to do it on their own. Is great as I have not seen it for 60 bucks since that sale. I would recommend this product

Cons: None.
