5 out of 5 eggsGreat little GPS for the price:

Pros: - Lightweight
- Loud Voice; clear and easy to understand
- Easy to update (freezing issues seem to resolved, as I did not experience any issues whatsoever with out of memory errors)
- Good Sattelite acquisition

Cons: - None to speak of

Other Thoughts: - Took over 3 hours to update (patience is a virtue)
- Says what is does on the box, does what it says

I would recommend for someone looking for a entry level GPS with no bells or whistles.

3 out of 5 eggsTomTom

Pros: Loud and clear speech. Gets you from A to B.

Cons: -It could be a little easier for older folk who just aren't up-to-date on technology.
-The touch keyboard can be a pain sometimes.
-The on-screen map could be a little more detailed.

Other Thoughts: I got this for my dad, since he just moved to a new city and he doesn't know his way around that well. He doesn't know how to use it that well, so he will always call me and ask "how do I program the street in" lol.

2 out of 5 eggsLess than satisfying

Pros: - Reasonably simple to use

- Good display quality

- Pleasant user interface

- Advanced Lane Guidance is very helpful

- Battery life is very good

Cons: - Insufficient on-board storage makes map updates unnecessarily difficult to load. This is already well documented here, and it can be worked around, but it's still a gigantic pain in the neck.

- The on-screen keyboard is utterly horrible. Smartphones like the iPhone are far more intuitive to type on.

- Point of Interest searches fail far too frequently. At least half of the names of business I search for fail, even if the business in question is popular and long-established.

- It moves too slowly. It takes forever to start, it takes forever to acquire the GPS satellite links, and it takes forever to plan a route, particularly if you're trying (in vain) to find the name of the business you're searching for.

- "New" map updates are still outdated, and I have to pay for them to boot!

Other Thoughts: There's a reason these things are cheap now. Smartphones with Google navigation do what this thing does with more accuracy and far less irritation.

If you can't afford a smartphone and you only need occasional navigational help, this is still a poor solution. By the time you're able to start the thing and plot your route, IF it manages to find your destination, you could have gotten directions much more quickly using other methods.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Inexpensive, accurate and easy to use.

Cons: It really could use more memory. The initial setup issues mentioned elsewhere are real.

Pros: works great voice good bright screen all of it works

Cons: turned it on it updated the map and had no trouble as others had .now the bad the maps work good on interstate but the streets in pensacola fl. has so many missing streets no name streets and streets that has not been on the map 30+ years and no this is not a small town. this is a nice unit for the price but the maps is a joke

Other Thoughts: i would get something with better maps if i was doing it a gain

3 out of 5 eggsOK GPS For Price

Pros: Gets me to places i dont know. Was somewhat cheap when i bought it for 75$. I like the stop light camera option. although they dont show all stop light cameras.

Cons: Had to delete some voices to update map, but i dont speak spainish. so i just deleted those voices. doesnt have an address book to save like phone numbers/ names. Now they have better GPS for around 75$

Other Thoughts: Overall, its an ok GPS for 75$.

1 out of 5 eggsI give up

Pros: Gave me lots of practice removing and reloading the op ap three times per the web site tech support. More fun when the TT server crashed during an update. Nice visits with TS folks (twice) for about 1.5 hours.

Cons: Comes with 2 gig on board memory as others have stated. At first plug in it says your map is out of date, tries to load the updated map, runs out of memory then crashes. It froze up, requiring the removal and re-install of the op ap. Worked awhile, froze up, r&r, now the voice is dead and TS says to send it back.

Other Thoughts: Heading for Costco to buy a Garmin for my three day road trip, which is why I bought this TT paperweight. HEY, TOM, if you load up a device with 1950 mb on a 2000 mb system, don't expect to sell me Homer's voice, it won't fit.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I travel out of state about twice a month and this Tom Tom has got me where I needed to go every time. Simple enough, but that's what it's suppose to do right? Works great!

Cons: Came with free LCD Covers... but it's a touch screen, so it really messes up the touch interface with the covers on. But this doesn't affect the actual device so, 5 eggs :)

Other Thoughts: You can download new voices and such too, haven't done it yet but definitely cool :)
