The TomTom GO 740 Live is the manufacturer's first connected-GPS device, offering up-to-the-minute traffic data, weather forecasts, fuel prices, and Local Search powered by Google. Map Share and IQ Routes technologies allow map data to be updated more frequently. Bluetooth hands-free calling and voice command help the driver to keep both hands on the wheel.

Good, but disappointing
- Pros: * Very fast to lock onto a position.
* Routing is quick and accurate
* Displays POI right on the map
* Many, many customizable voices and vehicle graphics
* Can add third-party software to the unit
- Cons: * TomTom HOME software is not the best. Will not run at all on my computers at home (Vista and Windows 7), but will run at work (XP).
* Having the POI on the map is great, but can't touch on them and have the unit tell me what they are or any other information.
* The included traffic subscription is great, but it informed me about 2 accidents that weren't there and not about one that was, creating a significant delay (>30 minutes).
* Phone calls made via Bluetooth were not loud enough to be heard (even with the BT volume on the phone and the volume on the TT at full)
* Menus not arranged very intuitively, status bar gives more real estate to satellite strength than to speed
- Other Thoughts: I had an old Garmin GPS for years that finally died a year ago. When I finally got around to getting a new GPS, I was torn between the TomTom GO 740 Live and a competing brand. I should have gone with the other.
Bottom line, this is a good GPS. It works well and quickly. But for the money, I wish I would have gone elsewhere.
Kudos again to Newegg for having the product at my doorstep the day after I ordered it.
