Pros: The Size of this Tablet is perfect I think.
I installed Launcher Pro which allows many options. You can set backgrounds through Quickpic and several other options.
I find this is perfect as a E reader and the WiFi is flawless 99% of the time.
I enjoy it very much for the price.

Cons: I wish a lot more Android apps worked on this.
Setting a Background is a pain, getting the resolution right is interesting.

Other Thoughts: This Tablet needed some more work..but its decent.

1 out of 5 eggsVIZIO DOA

Pros: I love NEWEGG I buy everything from here. I don't think they can help me because I bought this for xmas 2 months ago.

Cons: So I ordered this for xmas for my 8yr old daughter. Her smile on her face made it totally worth ordering. Until we tried to use it the first time. The screen looked like colored snow so we powered it off. Now it will not power on at all. Some xmas gift this was. Now she has to wait on VIZIO becuase I ordered it at the beginning of November so the 30 day warranty is out. I guess I should have powered it up and double checked it when I got it.

Other Thoughts: I just hope VIZIO's customer support doesn't suck!

5 out of 5 eggsThe blue collar ipad

Pros: I got mine on Craigs list for a one time unbelievable $100 from a kid that needed the money. I'm an old fart tech geek, and I'm impressed. So impressed I'm looking to buy my gal pal one as soon as I can find one in the store or at Newegg. Around here (DEC 2) they are sold out. I added SD chip, a nice leather case and bought the HDMI cable and a cigar lighter plug. On a 4 hour car trip it banged out an audio book into a FM radio adapter while it sat on the dash. I think it has GPS in it because it knew where I was. It moves from portrait to landscape mode flawlessly. Every app I've tried so far works just fine. I had a 10" ASUS netbook and it's now belongs to my buddy's wife. I have also started a music playlist and run other apps and saw/heard no hickups in either.

Cons: I've cruised the forums regarding the tablet and the biggest complaint is that it does not run the latest version of ANDROID O/S. but to me that reminds me of running XP when Vista came out.
There is a concern and a desire about "rooting" and VIZIO's next update release.

Other Thoughts: I'm an old fart, so you kids listen to someones grandfather.. when I was your age there was 3 TV channels and they were in black and white. Its not an ipad. It's 1/3 the cost and does 80% of what the ipad does. It does not have the prestige of an APPLE ipad, but I'm not an arrogant apple junkie living on my trust fund and protesting on wall street. 1/3 the cost for 80% of the use, translates to blue collar VALUE. My point is a Apple Ipod should be $279.99 if you see one at that price buy it else the VIZIO.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the wait

Pros: Price. Build. Vizio quality. Simplicity. 8 inch screen. Battery life. Infrared remote for home studio, real GPS (!) This as a good tablet for someone who has been waiting for a quality Android powered inexpensive tablet. Evidently 2.3 is more stable than 3.0, with updates from Vizio as they happen. I use it for portability, as opposed to a laptop. Email, FB etc., it is really handy. Fits readily in my Harley bags and streams well. 10.1 flash on board. VIA seems slow at first, then you get a rhythm and the pace is good. Adjusting touch sensitivity makes it fly... turning off animations helps too. Very happy with the purchase....highly recommended.

Cons: Most smart phones do everything this does, some more, but not on an 8 inch screen. When everything is considered, the price, etc., I have none.

Other Thoughts: It is what it is supposed to be, at a good price. To gig it for not being something it was NOT supposed to be would be missing the point and the value.... Nice handy gadget for many applications. Won't replace my gamer desktop, or my all purpose laptop. But the convenience factor is amazing.....

5 out of 5 eggsBest Buy for the money

Pros: Fast for a non dual core processor. The device itself is solid as a rock. I have not had it lock up or flake out on me once. I was able to pick this baby up a few weeks ago for 189.00 after someone on the spiceworks forums pointed it out to me, and not only was it a great deal, they were throwing in a free case that day. Oh yeah. The touchscreen is always precise and responsive. I graphics are unbelievable, I installed contract killer: Zombies, and I must say, this thing is on par with my xbox 360! I know it doesn't have a 3G built in, but I have a clear hotspot device I carry in my backpack so that isn't a problem for me.
The sound is amazing, you can rock out to some Guns and Roses, or if you are into that emo stuff, I suppose my chemical romance would sound as decent as possible, for that kind of music.

All in all, how can you go wrong for the price unless it was a total piece!

Cons: No rear facing camera.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality workmanship for price

Pros: Well built, nice size display, nice sound, Android market, the remote function are just a few. Also has a pretty nice web experience thanks to the zippy processor and Adobe flash support.

Cons: Like a lot of other tabs out there it has the glossy screen that collects lots of finger prints and other dna and also has a blur when using at different angles. I spent $16 at Walmart for a screen protector and failed miserably at lining it up and getting all the bubbles out. It seems to have the best viewing angle when it is laying flat on a table in front of you.

Other Thoughts: I payed $238 for mine and it does every thing I need it to do. There are some expensive tabs that fast and sleek but I,m not ready to sink
a large some of money into it. For the money you just cant get a better tab for the price. the viewing angle is annoying but the overall quality is pretty good so 5 eggs it is.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Money

Pros: $199. This is the best $199 tablet out there. That includes the Fire. I've had it for 2 days and it is a lot for th money. I expect nothing more from it. Not at this price anyway. WiFi, access the Google Market, bluetooth and the remote app all make it worth while. What does a Harmon One cost?

Cons: 2 gb of storage is not enough. I can exand it but 2 is not much.

Other Thoughts: If your price point is $300 or less buy this one.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: It does everything I need it to do at reasonable speeds. The 4:3 aspect ratio is ideal for reading and web browsing, less ideal for video playback and gaming but these weren't the features sought after when I was shopping for a tablet. The sound quality is excellent through the onboard speakers, 1024x768 is great resolution for all purposes. Holds all of my heavy college texts in ePub format (ableit via hard-to-find hacks)

Cons: It's not lightning fast and smooth operating like my friend's iPad2. It needs about $50 worth of third party apps to be a true android experience, especially the homescreen app and onscreen keyboard plug-in. Barnes & Noble STILL doesn't support Android (or iOS) for the NookStudy app. (GRRRR!) I went a few months waiting for Netflix and Skype to get patched in, but they're supported now. Only 4GB, no big deal with uSD slot...

Other Thoughts: Would have given it four eggs based on its "just barely" processing power, but for only two hundred bucks its a definite A+ two thumbs up all the way.
