2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed. Stopped charging.

Pros: Price, Android, HDMI.

Cons: - Stopped working after 4 months, doesn't boot or charge. Flimsy charging connectors
- Was frequently freezing, always did a hard reboot.
- GPS doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had read other reviews.

1 out of 5 eggsCheated

Pros: None whatsoever.

Cons: No GPS after update
NO HDMI out after update
Poor customer service

Other Thoughts: At first I was happy with it until they 'improved' it. They promised to fix the GPS issue with an update. Several came and went without a fix. The latest update crippled the HDMI output too. I wish I'd returned it during Newegg's RMA window but, alas, I didn't and now must throw myself upon Archos seemingly nonexistent support. Newegg has many fine tablets beside this piece of junk. Buy one of them instead. I wish I did.

1 out of 5 eggsUSB Connector Weak & Archos Ignores You

Pros: Battery life and Android 4.0

Cons: Low quality screen for off-angle viewing.

The USB/charging port fit is loose to start with. After 5 months of use, the USB/charging port broke loose inside the device and now we can not charge it.

Archos has ignored my request for support. I sent email from their web site Sept 15, 2012 and received an automated reply saying they would get back in two business days. Five business days later, NOTHING.

1 out of 5 eggsDied twice - so far.

Pros: Not too big, not too small. I like the built-in kickstand.

Cons: The USB port has failed - won't charge; won't connect to my PC. I just got a RMA for the second time for the same issue. All my apps and data gone, and ~ 3 weeks before a replacement arrives. How many times will this happen before the warranty expires?

Other Thoughts: They won't offer a refund - yet. If this happens again, who knows. It's too small for a door stop, too big for a coaster, wrong shape for a Frisbee...

3 out of 5 eggsICS upgrade = no GPS

Pros: Nice price, fast for 512 MB RAM, back slot for 3G USB also works for external drives and other USB devices.

Cons: GPS functionality broken by ICS update. Either don't update from HC or download last HC update from Archos and downgrade to use GPS.

Other Thoughts: Wait until Archos fixes the OS. It is like an endless beta test and Archos does not seem to care. I regret buying it now.

2 out of 5 eggspoor quality control

Pros: nice screen, good video quality

Cons: poor quality control, poor customer service

Other Thoughts: quit working after a month, sent it back to the manufacturer for replacement, still waiting to hear from them....about a month now, just ridiculous customer service and quality control

4 out of 5 eggsSweet 3.2

Pros: The device is quick, multiple I/O ports, good screen, great size. I love it, it is my first tablet. I looked at all of the others and waited until i found it for the right price and sprung. Archos is releasing Android ICS in the 1st Quarter of 2012.

Cons: it does not feel as nice in the hand as an 1pad or a $am$ung. But it feels as nice as other mid teired tablets.
also update the firmware when you get it. i did have issues with it locking up, but after the firmware update those issues seemed to be resolved.

Other Thoughts: overall it is a good product, perfect for folks not wanting to mortgage the house for a tablet.

1 out of 5 eggspoorly made tablet. Dont Buy!

Pros: none

Cons: i purchased this tablet with the hopes that i would not get one of display rippling ones but i was wrong. display ripples, tablet is plasticky and cheap feeling. machine feels very sluggish and mostly unresponsive. stay away from this if you can. Not worth the high price at all. needless to say i have returned this and will be getting a refund and a different brand tablet

1 out of 5 eggsQuit working after 1 day

Pros: Features for the price.

Cons: Quits working after a few days. Research shows this is a common problem with this tablet. Trying to RMA.
