2 out of 5 eggsWanted SO much to like this. Sad.

Pros: It booted up. (the 8" version I got at the same time would not!)
Bright display.

Cons: Very poor wireless even in high signal strength areas. Spotty at best.
Very poor and slow GPS.
Poor screen. More like plastic than glass.
Mic would not work with any apps.

Other Thoughts: I wanted so much to LOVE this and an the 8" G9 I purchased at the same time. The 8" would not boot up (another story and another review). This unit at least booted up - but things went down hill from there.
I could not get the mic to work at all. The GPS would barely work even when outdoors with no trees - when it worked at all. The wireless had a hard time connecting even with high powered corporate wireless systems. The screen tended to make ghost taps even when no hand or finger was near the screen. It had enough defects that I needed to RMA is (and the 8" version) back to Newegg. Very sad. Had it worked well, I would have loved all of the (on paper) features.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat when on sale

Pros: Cheap, running ICS, Good performance for the price, Large Screen, Better than average resolution

Cons: Hot, Cheap, Plastic, Not Bright, Higher Friction Screen

Other Thoughts: I purchased this tablet for my wife during a very brief promotion in which I got it for 140 dollars. At that price, it's hard to fault it. However, since any device has pluses and minutes regardless of the price, I'll try to be fair. There was one stuck pixel when I got the device, otherwise the display seems fine. It's not super bright, but still bright enough for any indoor use. Wifi seems fine.

Compared to my ASUS TF700t, if feels slow, stripped down, and an entry level device, but that's what it is. The speaker placement is poor and while it's loud when you're holding the device up, if you lay it flat on a table, the sound is completely muffled. The speed is nothing to write home about. It's decent but the display is not nearly as smooth as a tegra 3 device, nor are games as pretty/fluid.

For the price, I'd buy it again. But wouldn't pay more than 200 for it. Any more than that and you might as well just get a google nexus 7 and get Tegra 3.

3 out of 5 eggswould be nice

Pros: Sleek, affordable, feels solid.

Cons: Please note that this tablet DOES not work with WPA2 wireless security. If your network is setup WPA2 secure you will get 0.1 mbps down. Once changed to WPA I was still gettting half the speed of my other devices when tested on same network. not really a con but information needed to be known.

Advertised with 512 ram. I ordered 2 they have 305, and 306 ram respectivly. Im not even sure how this is possible as normally ram comes 256,512,1024....After running Android os only left with 170 is ram.

Next.... Advertised with 512 ram.... umm I bought 2 when they were on sale, 1 has 305 ram, the other 306 how do they even put 305 ram in a product 256,512,1026, but 305... After andriod os is running im only left with 170 mb of free ram. I can understand being shorted on some hardrive space that is normal. but to have almost half the ram advertised missing is unacceptable.

Other Thoughts: I have called the seller. They said send them email. Will update how this fiasco turns out. If they can not produce me with a tablet with the advertised specs. I will regretably have to ask for refund as does not function with 300 ram everything but the most basic applications will not work. I notice other comments above about tablet not running netflix and other aps. might check your Ram as your tablet may be the same as mine missing over 200 ram.

5 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: Compared to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 (original), Android 2.3. It has improved everywhere mine was getting out dated. Great screen and battery. Cost...seriously? Are they making money?

Cons: Maybe thickness. 0.5 inch is more than an ultrabook.

Other Thoughts: I assume they took Apple's idea of using a huge battery to "amazingly" give you long life. 2.97 lbs = ~same as ultrabook. AMD+Win7 = $500, Intel+Win7 = $1000, ARM+Android4 =$150, but close.
