3 out of 5 eggsiView

Pros: Still working I broke the screen :-( easy to use up grade OS to Ice cream sandwich. had to find a patch to make netflix work. It still holds a charge and everything works. also it came with a barrel connecter charger & hdmi connector so it works with the OTG cable & wireless keyboard to watch video.

Cons: A little bit slow even in the beginning now very slow.kinda frustrating.

Wish I didn't break the screen.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap, and it shows.

Pros: Inexpensive, and worth a check if it's what you can afford. Halfway decent specs for its cost.

Cons: It's cheap, and underpowered. Certainly not ready to run ICS. Hardware buttons are flaky.

Other Thoughts: Although inexpensive an seeming to have halfway decent specs for its cost, it has too many quirks and faults. It is underpowered for ICS, and the cores/memory are significantly overstated, considering the video sharing.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent unit for the price!

Pros: Inexpensive, well made, charges from USB, simple firmware upgrade to 4.0, & excellent warranty service (more on this in the other thoughts).

Cons: The wall A/C charger is the 2.5mm pin style. These break really easily on a well made charger. The wall unit that comes with these isn't particularly well made. That said - it takes a cheap USB charger and works great!

Other Thoughts: Through Newegg and other sources we have over 125 of these units in service currently. Of those purchased we had 5 DOA and 2 more where the screen went blue (no other colors). That's like a 6% fail rate - for an (now) $80 tablet. In every instance the manufacturer repaired/replaced every unit - no questions asked.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Battery

Pros: The price is good and New Egg's shipping times were accurate

Cons: Battery died in less than 4 hours from a full charge.

Other Thoughts: The RMA policy for this item makes it an expensive paperweight. I don't want another of this brand but I have had a good experience with New Egg before.

2 out of 5 eggscareful

Pros: Great for the price. Good picture, hdmi output, can be connected to an external mouse and keyboard

Cons: I bought this a year ago when it was $130. It worked fine until about a week ago. I turned it on one day and all of a sudden the display was upside down, no matter what direct the table was in and ALSO, mirror image. When connected via hdmi, everything was ok. I took it apart and came to a conclusion the chip on the flex cable that connected the mb to the touch screen and the touch screen went bad. The warranty is over in 2 days, but I don't need that hassle.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't buy this one again, but $300 and up tablets aren't for me.

5 out of 5 eggsSlick!

Pros: The price is right.
It is rooted.
The kids love it!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Use one of the many apps (et al SETCPU) to bump the CPU speed up from 1.0GHz to 1.2GHz. This will give you improved performance at only a slight increase in battery drain. Note, many tablets using the same CPU run at 1.2GHz.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great; tip for static IP wireless setup

Pros: Works as advertised: bright colorful screen, responsive graphical interface.

Cons: Screen is only 7 inches, but we knew that :-)

Other Thoughts: The trick to setting up wireless connection with a static IP address is to check the Show Advanced Options box at the bottom of the connection dialog box. The problem is that when the unit is held horizontally, the box does not appear until the password is entered, and even then is hidden until you swipe a finger from the bottom toward the top of the dialog box. Once it is checked, the rest of the data can be entered and the connection is established immediately. So, hold the unit vertically when using this dialog or swipe a finger after entering the password. Hope this saves someone time.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Choice

Pros: Price

Cons: Not stable. Had issues from day 1 and was told to contact the manufacturer of which was hard to determine. Support was horrible. It nows lays at my house and collects dust. Poor purchase.

Other Thoughts: If you are wanting an Android tablet pay a little extra and get one that does not make you pull your hair out.

3 out of 5 eggsGood value for the casual tablet user

Pros: Upgrading to IceCream Sandwich is a little tricky but easy enough. This tablet is plenty powerful to run most simple apps. Don't try multitasking or multi apping, will get really slow.

Cons: Not a powerhouse by any means. Use as an eReader and email checker is about the limit of this hardware.

Other Thoughts: This is great tablet to use as an eReader or email checker. Don't try playing any graphics intensive games though.
