A large, high-resolution LED-backlit IPS display, an incredibly responsive Multi-Touch screen and an amazingly powerful Apple-designed chip. All in a design that’s thin and light enough to take anywhere. iPad isn’t just the best device of its kind. It’s a whole new kind of device.
Available in a Wi-Fi + 3G model for fast cellular network access, iPad allows you to browse web pages, read and write email, view photos or watch videos on Youtube just with a tap, whisk and flick of your fingertip. Right now you can discover over a thousand apps on the App Store made just for iPad — with more coming every day. And if that’s not enough, you can also run almost 200,000 iPhone apps. The street view, satellite view, or new terrain view using Google services helps you find your location easily and precisely. You can create great-looking presentations, documents, and spreadsheets with iWork, all using just your fingers.
Come join the iPad revolution today!
Wi-Fi and 3G Connectivity With built-in 802.11n, iPad takes advantage of the fastest Wi-Fi networks. It automatically locates available Wi-Fi networks, which you can join with a few taps. iPad is also available in a 3G model with superfast data speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. So if you’re traveling or you happen to be somewhere without a Wi-Fi network, you can still get a fast connection for surfing the web, downloading email or getting directions.
LED-Backlit IPS Display The high-resolution, 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS display on iPad is remarkably crisp and vivid, which makes it perfect for web browsing, watching movies or viewing photos. With iPad, there is no up or down. It’s designed to show off your content in portrait or landscape orientation with every turn. And because it uses a display technology called IPS (in-plane switching), it has a wide, 178° viewing angle. So you can hold it almost any way you want and still get a brilliant picture, with excellent color and contrast.
Multi-touch The Multi-Touch screen on iPad is based on the same revolutionary technology on iPhone. But the technology has been completely re-engineered for the larger iPad surface, making it extremely precise and responsive. So whether you’re zooming in on a map, flicking through your photos or deleting an email, iPad responds with incredible accuracy. And it does just what you want it to.
Performance The A4 chip inside iPad was custom-designed by Apple engineers to be extremely powerful yet extremely power efficient. The performance is unlike anything you’ve ever seen on a touch-based device, which makes iPad fantastic for everything from productivity apps to games. At the same time, the A4 chip is so power efficient that it helps iPad get up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.
iBooks Download the iBooks app free from the App Store and download your favorite books and they appear on your bookshelf. You can start reading right away. Unlike a paper book — or ebooks on other devices — you can change iBooks on iPad to suit the way you read. Turn iPad to portrait to view a single page. Or view two pages at once by rotating to landscape. Change the text size. Even change the font.
Accessibility iPad comes standard with accessibility featuring VoiceOver, a screen reader that speaks 21 languages and works with all of the applications built on iPad, along with Mono Audio, Closed Captioning, White on Black, and other innovative universal access features. All these features make iPad easier to use for people who have a vision impairment, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have a physical or learning disability.
Cons: It's a $500 web browser/angry birds play thing. Apple locked this thing up so tight that its not nearly as usable as it could be.
Other Thoughts: Thanks for not including a usb port apple, those are so 2 years ago....(s/o)

Pros: This is a lovely piece of art. It looks great. If feels substantial. It has a very nice screen display and the touch response is better than any other non-Apple product.
Cons: Really, really expensive to own. Most of the things you take for granted with a real computer will cost you $1 or more to get "al a carte" and to get a basic word processor and spreadsheet sets you back $19.98 plus tax. Not to mention you have to spend $50 or more to get a case that will help keep it from getting scratched up. 3G? That'll cost you an extra $25 a month. And you still have to have a computer capable of running iTunes to use the iPad.
Other Thoughts: Kids love it and I suppose there are some people who can get some use out of the iPad, but I don't have a use for it. I thought I could use it for about 8 or 9 different tasks I currently do with my laptop, but it simply doesn't do anything well enough to justify the incredible expense. After spending a couple of days with it, it was clear that all I really needed was a newer, faster laptop.

Pros: So useful. Laptop is hardly ever used anymore. It's ultra-portable and is perfect for 99/100 things you need when looking for computing in a portable situation. (like on the couch when you want to look up what movie you saw the chic from Californication in) My 2 yo daughter LOVES it. That's how user friendly it is. She can cruise around on her spelling apps and even bring up the Thomas the Train episodes I got for her. All by herself.
Cons: Like others have mentioned: no flash. Apple needs to protect their app store revenue, after all.... (only reason for 4 eggs instead of 5)
Other Thoughts: If I could do it again, I would have got the just wifi version. We've had it since April '10 and never used 3G once. Even when traveling.

Rating: 4/5Addictive!
Pros: I did not think I would like this as much as I do. It is VERY addictive, and alot more useful than I expected. It has so many utility and entertainign apps, I find I am using it as much if not more than my laptop. Exchange e-mail with contacts and Calendars is AWESOME!
Cons: No flas player for web browsing because of Steve Jobs hard head
