It’s brilliant. In every sense of the word.

Pick up the new iPad and suddenly, it’s clear. You’re actually touching your photos, reading a book, playing the piano. Nothing comes between you and what you love. To make that hands-on experience even better, we made the fundamental elements of iPad better — the display, the camera, the wireless connection. All of which makes the new, third-generation iPad capable of so much more than you ever imagined.

  • newegg Retina Display. See everything like never before. Four times more pixels than iPad 2. Razor-sharp text. Richer colors. The Retina display transforms the entire iPad experience. So everything looks and feels incredibly lifelike and perfectly detailed.
  • newegg Pixel-perfect performance The A5X chip with quad-core graphics drives four times the pixels of iPad 2 yet it delivers the same smoothness and fluidity iPad is known for. Even with all that extra oomph, the new iPad still gets an amazing 10 hours of battery life.
  • newegg The iSight camera. Your memories have never been clearer. The new iPad features Apple’s 5-megapixel iSight camera. Designed with advanced optics, it lets you shoot gorgeous photos and 1080p HD video.
  • newegg Dictation. Talking is the new typing. Write an email. Send a text. Search the web. Or create a note. And do it all with only your voice. Instead of typing, tap the microphone icon on the keyboard. Then say what you want to say while your iPad listens. Tap Done and, just like that, your spoken words become written words. Dictation also works with third-party apps, so you can do things like update your Facebook status or share a thought on your Twitter feed.
  • newegg iCloud. Your content. On all your devices. iCloud stores your music, photos, apps, mail, contacts, calendars, documents, and more and wirelessly pushes them to all your devices. So if you buy a song, take a photo, or edit a calendar event on your iPad, iCloud makes sure it appears on your Mac, iPhone, and iPod touch, too. You don’t have to do a thing.

1 out of 5 eggsNewegg Mislead Me

Pros: NONE

Cons: Was sent a refurbished item without retail box / manuals / correct charger. I received an Ipad in plastic air filled "cushion" and inside the box was a used charger for an Ipad mini not a 30 pin.

5 out of 5 eggsI love my iPad!

Pros: Of course iPads are great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: What really set this purchase apart was the customer service. We had a product tracking problem and newegg was on top of it immediately. I am a very happy customer.

4 out of 5 eggstypical apple - decent product

Pros: WIFI connected, basically a sound product with a great display.

Cons: Typical apple proprietary device. same limitations as all Apple hardware. No standard USB ports at all! Dependent on apple iTunes software which sucks IMO but does an OK job of delivering software. Price is ridiculous for what you get.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my wife to use for her internet apps and facebooking. It seems to serve her purpose. I would never use apple products myself but I wanted the simplicity that comes with apple for her.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: Fast and responsive, screen looks great sound and design are good also. It's good for reading screen is crisp no fuzzy letters.Built by Apple who puts quality above all else it seems.

Cons: Have to wait till IOS6 to get Siri who I use a lot but at least you get her on the new iPad.

Other Thoughts: If you have an iPhone 4S this is just the huge version of it. I bought this because I read a lot and it's easier to do on this then my iPhone 4S. I paid $509 for mine from Newegg which is cheaper then buying from Apple after sales tax and shipping cost. Not sure why people are complaining about the price. If you bought it before the price drop you where not forced to buy it so you where aware it was high. Guess common sense is lacking now a days in America though. Just saying dont bash Newegg for you paying $80 more then listed retail.

1 out of 5 eggsGlorified Ereader

Pros: none

Cons: everything

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these at Best Buy. I went there for a laptop and was talked into this by the salesman who said I'd love it. I can't think of anything I can do with my Nook color that I wouldn't do with this or any other tablet. I took it back within 24 hours and got my laptop. Much better decision.

2 out of 5 eggsI don't get it?

Pros: - Fairly good build quality
- Decent screen (high ppi, average colors, acceptable refresh rate)
- 4G LTE capabilities via Verizon for theoretical 25Mbs Down and 15Mbs Up
- Good touch screen response, I admit that it is probably the best touchscreen I have used for a tablet
- SoC (ARM A9(?) Dual-Core and Quad-Core GPU) are actually very good parts, but they do struggle with the high resolution screen
- Uses MLC NAND Flash for storage, essentially putting an mSATA SSD inside, resulting in very fast data acquisition under ideal circumstances
- User Interface is the selling point for most.. Apple does one thing very well (and it ain't hardware), and that's to make the UI of a device extraordinarily intuitive for even technophobes

This is a device consisting of off-the-wholesaler's-shelf hardware put together in a fancy package and wrap it up in some very clever software. Nothing at all wrong with this approach, especially when the hardware is top-of-the-line. For $600+ it be

Cons: - Display (yes I said it) is NOT anything special; color accuracy is poor, refresh rate stumbles, viewing angle is mediocre, and even a hint of glare makes it unusable
- Terrible data speeds, and I live in an excellent 4G area; testing at same place consecutively, my Galaxy Nexus hit 28.46Mbs Down/19.61Mbs Up while this hit a max of 9.77/4.18
- OS is not open source
- A5 SoC is underpowered
- Doesn't do anything that a decent phone cant do
- Overhyped

WAY OVERPRICED! (not Neweggs fault)

I am not an Anti-Apple Crusader, I just don't find merit in this product when there are other, better options. I highly recommend the Galaxy Tab and Transformer Prime.

Other Thoughts: I was fortunate to be able to sell mine for the price I paid, and I used the money to buy a second Dell Ultrasharp 27" IPS 2560x1440p Monitor. I am far more pleases with the monitor for my own purposes as I do tons of HD video and Uncompressed Audio editing as well as semi-professional photography.

Now I use my 2nd 27" Dell US with 3 27" Samsung 1920x1080 monitors and its heaven. System:
i7 3930K @ 4.8Ghz, Rampage IV Extreme MB, 64GB DDR3-2400 (8x8GB), 3x GTX680 4GB cards in SLI (1475core/6850mem), 2x Samsung 830 256GB SSDs (RAID0), 4x WD RE4 1TB HDDs (RAID10), 3x WD Velociraptor 500GB HDDs (RAID0), and a Caselabs TH10 case with 12x NZXT 140mm 2000rpm fans + a lot of water cooling gear (3x XSPC EX520 + 2x RX280 rads, 32 NZXT FN-140Z 2krpm 140mm fans, Swiftech Apogee HD CPU block, 3x EK 680 blocks with Backplates, EK R4E MB block, FrozenQ 750mL reservoir, MCP35X2 Pumps, 1/2"-3/4" PrimochillTubing, Bitspower Comp/Rotary Comp Fittings, 2x Scythe 12ch Fan Controllers).

4 out of 5 eggsOverpriced on the egg

Pros: Screen is beautiful, camera is nice.

Cons: Battery life, charging time.

Other Thoughts: Love this new iPad, but even with the larger battery, it drains faster while playing games (2D). Also takes much longer to reach a full charge. Worth it if you read a lot on the device, the retina screen does make a difference. Finally, why is this currently $80 MORE than the Apple store???
