1 out of 5 eggsabsolutely worthless

Pros: it turns on. it has a little wifi card that can be removed and used on your pc.

Cons: flimsy glass screen that cant take even the slightest drop. terrible slow interface and hardware, even when flashed of the terrible software that it comes with. the wifi card included is absolute trash. expect 56k dialup type speeds.

Other Thoughts: completely worthless. steer clear of anything by this company, its all low grade knock off garbage.

3 out of 5 eggsBasic Reader with wi-fi

Pros: I did the Android update. Works better and is closer to my Android phones function. Able to access my e-mail through the wi-fi in most of the house. Update came with an office suite that can read PDF Files (all of my Company documents are PDF). Screen resolution is OK. Web Browser is OK

Cons: Still slow, and will not run graphics intensive games like Angry Birds. Screen resolution is only OK.

Other Thoughts: If all you is a basic reader, with wi-fi for email, and web browsing. You can't beat the price. But having looked at the Kinlde Fire, and Nook Tablet. Both are far superior to this in screeen quality and processor power.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Tablet for the money

Pros: Great tablet for the price! Runs Android 2.6. Easy access to B&N store, plus ability to view downloaded epubs, PDFs, and Word files through eReader app. Easy access to Android store through SlideMe app. Easily matches the performance and flexibility of many other high end tablets.

Cons: Internal Wifi antenna was damaged upon receipt. I wasn't able to connect to any of my wireless routers. Newegg issued me a rapid refund. Ended up having to buy the same model from a different source because Newegg was out of stock.
There are issues with some apps from the app store not installing to the Novel, but this is minor compared to the device's overall capability and price. If you want that much access to a huge app store, go pay 4 to 5 times the price and buy name brand.

Other Thoughts: Definitely go to the Pandigital website to buy a protective sleeve or case for it. I wasn't able to find an off-the-shelf cover for it. $17 for a cover, and $15 for Oops-I-dropped-it insurance is well worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat value

Pros: lots of bang for your buck if you want to hack it into a mini tablet. 800mhz Samsung CPU and 256mb ram

Cons: stock firmware leaves much to be desired.

Other Thoughts: For the money it's hard to beat. Flash it with the firmware available from Slatedroid and you have a very functional multimedia mini tablet compatible with most android apps. with an 800mhz Samsung CPU and 256mb ram it's perfect for light web browsing, reading ebooks, watching videos, playing games, and listening to music. Internal memory is a mini sd card that is upgradeable to 16gb making a total of 48gb storage possible!

3 out of 5 eggsGlad I didn't pay $199 for it.

Pros: cheap

Cons: -Had to upgrade the ROM before it was worth having.
-Very s-l-o-o-o-w out of the box.

Other Thoughts: This thing was almost worthless before the firmware upgrade. Now it seems to work OK...definitely NOT worth paying full price for...but for $69.99, I'm OK with it.

4 out of 5 eggsWife's Christmas Gift

Pros: This is my Wife's first E-reader, and she says she Loves it.
Good Price, Very clear screen, Item came very quickly.

Cons: Very slow processing, Touchscreen hard to tap, a little heavy, Sound quality a little disappointing.

Other Thoughts: Have heard a lot of negative feedback on this Item. But for the Price, and it being a first time E-reader it was a good value. We weren't looking for a E-reader that acted like a Super tablet. I think my wife will be pleased.
One thing for sure...Trying to contact Pandigital customer support is a nightmare.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not much!

Cons: After working on 2-3 days, it is dead apparently with no reasons. Spent another $8 for shipping back to Newegg for RMA and found this product is no longer available. It was meant to be a present. How embarrassing! Still waiting for rep to tell me what's next option.

Other Thoughts: I am not sure if newegg would leave me much options. disappointed! It is a terrible product to be sold on the site. I believe I am not the only one who has the same complain.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: Good price battery life and glass screen. Much better once I was able to update it. could be a bit faster. if it were for me I would have rooted it but my wife does not want that. I liked it enough that I purchased a similar one for me (which I will root)

Cons: Pandigital was not prepared to handel support for the Christmas crunch thier site was down for nearly 3 days and the phone support was bussy for almost as long. the way it came did not have a marketplace for apps of any kind. The update fixes that but it took days and several attempts to update it as their servers kept crashing under the load of users trying to update. The markeplace it comes with is limited and not as nice as the standard googel marketplace. It does not have an option to store to the SD card which makes the SD nearly useless and with only 1G of onboard space you really need the SD. I recomend the 4G unit and to root the device

Other Thoughts: if you can get it for under $100 it is worth it anything over it would not be. as far as finding a case for it forget best buy, staples, offfice max, or Walmart. They don't have one that fits. pandigital.net has several that do. I went to all the big box stores to find one for my wife and none of them fit

3 out of 5 eggsValue

Pros: Easy to update to Android tablet (with detailed instructions from Pantech support contrary to what's on their web page). Bright, clear, responsive color screen wider than most 7" tablets. Reader functions great - bigger screen helps. Can access that other book store's app store as well as the built in B&N app store.

Cons: Heavier than most. Reportedly fragile screen glass (no probs for me so far). Slightly limited app selection via B&N store. Android Market says "not a supported device". Won't play the Angry Birds!

Other Thoughts: I got refurb at great price along with handling/breakage warranty due to reports of the delicate screen. Figured to use on planes largely to check mail, surf net, Facebook, play simple games, watch movies I'd not take time to watch otherwise. It's great for first three. Email a breeze to set up. Bright, wider than usual screen for a 7" makes reading and net surfing more pleasant than on some 7". Have yet to try viewing more than short video. A little disappointed the infamous Angry Birds won't play - even the paid edition. For price paid - still worth it, but makes me want better, lighter one. Just learning to use Android phone - and it's much more capable/versatile - though I don't enjoy the comparatively tiny screen.
