5 out of 5 eggsSUPERB FOR MY 73YR OLD MOM

Pros: EGGCELLENT device for my dear old Mom whom just turned 73 yrs old last month and she simply loves it... And I don't blame her one bit. I also got her a 32GB memory card to go with it and loaded it up with family videos, trips and vacations and music and pictures and she couldnt be any happier to see how easy it is to use this product. Easy learning curve is all it took and off she went on her own. Absolutely no problems at all with firmware updates or apps as they all seem to work simply awesome. Plays everything I have thrown at it as for music mainly MP3 and AVI files which was my foremost and main concern since it does not say anywhere that it supports AVI files and not even on their website either. But lo-and-behold I am so glad to know it works great and my Mom is a very happy camper as so am I too! Happy Birthday to you Dear Mom and I love you!

Cons: I guess I should get me a few more now 'cuz everyone in the family loves it so much but the price is now 10 bux more... bummer! But hopefully price will come down again maybe for the holidaze season which I am so looking forward to.

It came with just a USB cable and the manual which is pretty much useless. I wish it would have came with a AC adapter instead but I just showed my Mom how easy it is to recharge it using the PC or my Samsung phone's charger witch also matches the USB plug and recharges it too so I think I am gonna try and find her one of those instead so the she won't have to turn on the PC just to recharge the tablet. I wonder if this will take any memory cards higher than 32gb's - I know it says up to 32 but has anyone really tried maybe 64gb's? hmmm? Probably not since it costs a lot more.

It should also have came with some kind of a screen cover. But I can't really complain because it works awesome and have no regrets whatsoever.

It also came with some very light scuff marks on the back but very unnoticeable, really.

Other Thoughts: This is no FUN if you don't get a real memory card with at least 16gb's minimum and load it up with all sorts of great stuff like movies, home videos and pictures and music and apps and wowwwie!!! But just to surf the net the way it comes is OK too. I really thought I was gonna be disappointed and took a gamble on this product but I am sure glad to see it has worked out wayyyy better than I thought even though I did a lot of research on this product but also the price was a no brainer to take that gamble plus the free shipping too... thanks NEWEGG, U ROCK!

1 out of 5 eggsLots of headache – Don’t Buy.

Pros: Oversized MP3 player

Cons: Touch screen responsiveness is hit & miss. It is frustrating – difficult to unlock screen when device is turned on. Screen takes at least 5 minutes before it can respond. When screen finally unlocks the next screen selections may simply shift entire screen icons to the right.

Other Thoughts: Pandigital online support was a joke. I could post questions to tech support. It could be the webpage had error that day. Thinking I got a faulty device I sent it back to Newegg for replacement (shipping $12). Newegg “engineers” said they could not identify any problems with the device and sent it back to me. They said it might be virus. Virus from where? All they did was reset the system – which I had done multiple times prior to sending it to them. I hate to write negative a review for a technical device knowing the efforts involved in design and production of such a device. But this particular item is an exception. I couldn’t get help from Pandigital or Newegg. Or maybe I got a lemon.

1 out of 5 eggsNo good.

Pros: just the size I was looking for , for a friend.

Cons: was a no go from the start. Took it with me on vacation, tried to charge it...leave it over night and the red led light kept blinking. After eight hours , unplug and it would not turn on. Only could turn on with the dc cable plugged in. As soon as I get off vacation, I am sending it back for a refund.

Other Thoughts: Newegg you are better than this...forget about selling these.

4 out of 5 eggsEbook reader 1st.

Pros: This item excels at being an E-reader. Uses Nook EPUB and PDF standards for Ebooks.

Cons: Not a great websurfer, limited capabilities as an audio/video unit. Problematic GetJar usage.

Other Thoughts: This unit is primarily an Ebook reader. I purchased it primarily for this duty, and it works well in that regard. As for being an all-in-one unit similar to more expensive tablets, it can barely pull it off. For some reason, I can't get GetJar to download to this unit for apps, and even after adding Google Marketplace, the site says this unit doesn't support most of the products (this is not true if you manually load them). I had to manually add apps by downloading the apks to the SD card and run the installer. Overall, I'm pleased with the price and the primary function. Everything else isn't as important. Tips: Get Flash, the Youtube app, and VLC media player for it. The Utube app that comes with it is pretty useless.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent at the refurb price

Pros: Cheap and functional for my needs. Easy to load my own .epub files and manage them with the included Barnes & Noble app. Refurbished unit has been perfectly fine so far.

Battery life is good so far.

Cons: Old android version means it isn't incredibly functional as anything other than an e-reader and web browser.

Screen is VERY unresponsive but this doesn't matter much when reading ebooks. Web browsing (and even unlocking the device) can be frustrating. If you anticipate using this for email, this device compounds the frustrations of tablet typing by having such an unresponsive screen.

This version of android will not always work with many newer apps or even Google Play.

Other Thoughts: At ~$60 the refurbished version of this is a great deal if you mostly want to use it as a budget reader. I would not pay retail for this product.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the money

Pros: Easy to use. Lighted buttons, Great bang for the buck. Easy to add Am**on app market, and Google market. Does everything I wanted it to do. CPU is 800mhz.

Cons: The resistive screen, but I knew that going into it. You can't get everything for $50.

Other Thoughts: I needed to read an Ebook I had, I figured, If I didn't like it, I could sell it in town for hundred bucks. So I bought it. I like it alot, and can be used for development. Just bought another one. If you need a basic tablet, it's a great buy. I also use it to read the news, watch video's and movies.

4 out of 5 eggsMore of a Laptop Guy

Pros: I didn't want to spend too much on a tablet so this fit the bill. It's great for the price and came clean and in working shape. Touch screen is nice and responsive. It's basically a toy to see if I want to spend more on a $600 model. Im more of a laptop guy.

Cons: Not that fast, no dual touch display, no gps...basically just a s plain as possible. It does change orientation when you rotate the screen, but the interactive walpaper wasn't very interactive. When tipping the screen it does nothing.

Other Thoughts: Amazing for the price! 4 years ago this would be top of the line. Today they are dime a dozen.
