1 out of 5 eggsPoor product+defunct company=AVOID!

Pros: Heavy enough for use a paperweight??

Gosh, where to start...
1. Pandigital went out of business and their assets were bought by a foreign company, and this tablet is not being supported and no warranty is being respected. It's an orphan.
2. Prior to that the Customer and Tech Support were terrible... many promises of upgrade to the Android OS and feature upgrades never came.
3. It's crashes CONSTANTLY. You'll be resetting it pretty much every time you want to use it, every time. Time of use before reset ranges from 10 secs to um...maybe a few minutes in my experience.
4. It's slow and non-responsive, which is esp painful given the constant resetting required.
5. It's HEAVY and not easy to hold in the hand.
6. Stuck at an older proprietary (i.e. "crippled) version of Android that is no longer relevant and so many apps will not be useable
7. Cameras are laughable, poor out of focus muddy images which are not recognizable by my as the subject I was aiming at.
8. Sound volume is VERY LOW, warbles, and the speaker is on the back where it is often muffled. In short not great for listening or viewing media
9. Don't try using it on Netflix, the video stutters and freezes. Occasionally you can get it work, in my experience those times are random and far between.
10. Wireless strength is poor and signal drops often. it will report full strength signal...then not be able to do anything on the web because it is lying...there is not signal really.
11. Web browsing is painful and not really doable. The stock browser is nearly dial-up modem slow, and crashes and freezes quite often. Newer browsers like Dolphin are too much for this puny tablet and simply crash and freeze constantly. You don't surf the web, you just sort of slowly sink and drown.
12. The screen resolution is poor and the images are muddy and washed out.
... and last but not least...
13. It is pretty had to find accessories for it (as an unpopular and now orphaned device).

It just doesn't work as it should and you will spend WAY MORE time and energy trying to get it to do so then if you had just spent, oh I don't know, say a measly two Andrew Jacksons more and got a refurb or sale price Samsung Tab 2 7.0".

Given all the choices on the market presently there is NO REASON to but this poorly executed piece of tech that is excrementally bad.

Other Thoughts: Please do not make the same mistake I made.

I feel very slighted by Pandigital and find their broken promises and refusal to honor warranties very disturbing.

1 out of 5 eggsPandigital

Pros: None

Cons: I have 2 of these. After about 6 months, one crashed. It would not boot to boot screen. Called customer support, they informed me that Pandigital was no longer in business and that no customer support was available. Now I have one! DO NOT PURCHASE!

Other Thoughts: One star only because I could not give it ZERO stars!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little tablet

Pros: Lightweight, big screen, really fast,(except on boot), kindle apps, am-azon android store capable.

Cons: Doesn't recognize jumpdrives, have to use flash storage. Getting android store & different browser took awhile. (see youtube)

Other Thoughts: I bought mine elsewhere for $79.00, refurbished. It was worth it.

3 out of 5 eggsBasic e-reader and web browser appliance

Pros: Cheap. I only paid fifty bucks after rebate a short while ago (and I even got the rebate in time). However it is not really worth more than the mentioned amount IMO.
As a simple e-reader or web surfing appliance, it works OK and for the price paid, don't have to worry about being too careful with it.
Very easy to root.
Has two cameras and bluetooth. Charges via the mini-USB port (although it is MUCH slower than from the power supply).
Android 2.3 only, but it does what it is supposed to be doing.

Cons: Not only the price is cheap - the build quality is too. All plastic housing. But the buttons are not lose, they work fine.
It is slow and lags often. There is no operating system upgrade available.
The screen is not too good, resolution could be better and it looks like its cover is plastic, so it may scratch easily.
Doesn't come with Google apps (it's easy to add them though). Google Play indicates a lot of apps not being compatible, but this is not true - if the same apps are downloaded from other sources, they work just fine.

Other Thoughts: As an almost throw-away appliance, it is OK. Get a screen protector to prevent scratches. Root it and use Titanium Backup to get rid of any bloatware you don't need.
Install Google Play plus other app stores such as Amaz*n, 1Mobile Market etc. Install ADW Launcher and it will work better than the stock launcher.

1 out of 5 eggsNice while it lasted

Pros: Nice while it lasted

Cons: Bought this on Aug 30 2012 and yesterday the screen went dead and now all the books and pictures I have on there are inacessible. Not a good purchase. And I can't return it. So VERY unhappy with this.

1 out of 5 eggsPandigital

Pros: I have a Novel 7. While it worked it was a nifty little piece.

Cons: At around six months the battery gave up and the cheapest (only) replacement was over fifty bucks with shipping. I recently emailed Pandigital for support on another issue, and they informed me that no support was available as the company was no longer in business

Other Thoughts: If you buy this you must consider it a throw away item.

3 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for!

Pros: Inexpensive, Android apps, simple & straightforward design.

Cons: Inexpensive build materials & quality...screen resolution and sensitivity is average. Programs are OK to begin. Camera is fair at best. Download other Android app store applications for much better app selection, The pre-installed Pandigital "Getjar" app is terrible.

Other Thoughts: Speaker volume is almost non-existent, although earphones work pretty well.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's ok

Pros: It has a nice big display and bright backlight. It's pretty light and sturdy feeling.

Cons: is not compatible with Google Play so many apps are not available for it easily. The screen resolution is low and the touch response is spotty at times. Can not be updated to Android 4.0 Can't even seem to get an actual Facebook App for it.

Other Thoughts: this tablet is cheap and it acts that way. I won't give it a bad review because, well, it's worth what you pay for it.

It does a lot of basic things for free. Don't expect this to be a $500+ tablet. You will be let down. If you're looking for a basic tablet to sync to your email, browse the web, and play Angry Birds on, this is a great, inexpensive tool.

It's really not a bad piece of technology. It's just behind the curve. Hence the price. For what it is and what it costs, it does more than I had expected.
